- Rate limits apply per IP (120 a minute) or per Developer key (600 a minute); cache on your side. Abuse gets blocked without notice.
- Prices are TCGplayer market data; TickerMint is not affiliated with TCGplayer, eBay, or any publisher. See legal and methodology.
FAQ
Is the TickerMint API free?
Yes, for personal projects, research, bots and tools that show the data to their own users, with a visible link back to the TickerMint page the data came from. No key is needed. Reselling the raw prices as a feed, or standing up a competing price API on top of it, is not allowed. Commercial use beyond that: email [email protected].
What are the rate limits?
120 requests a minute per IP on read endpoints, lower on search, scanning and login; 600 a minute on a Developer key ($19 a month), which also opens the bulk endpoints. Public reads are cached at the edge for an hour, so polling faster than that returns the same numbers.
Where do the prices come from?
TCGplayer market prices captured nightly, with sold comps by condition, live eBay asking floors for graded copies, and a published methodology. History runs from February 2024 (or a set's release).
How do I use it from ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant?
Add https://api.tickermint.cards/mcp as an MCP server. It exposes search_cards, card_price, price_history, most_valuable, movers, all_time_highs, all_time_lows, sealed_prices and set_prices, plus the search/fetch pair ChatGPT connectors expect. No authentication.
