Documentation
Read-only, sourced, and versioned.
Look up documented meanings, show regional notes, or identify terms in a phrase. Responses include canonical URLs and source links. Some entries explain adult vocabulary non-graphically; use maturity fields when your application needs a filter.
Remote MCP
Endpoint: https://slanglane.com/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP (stateless; JSON responses)
Authentication: none for public read-only tools
Protocol versions: 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26
Add the endpoint to a client supporting remote Streamable HTTP. Publishing an endpoint does not automatically connect it to an assistant or platform.

Attribution and uncertainty
Preserve canonical_url, source_urls, checked_at, evidence_status, and release_id. A documented meaning does not prove a speaker’s intention or diagnose anyone. Summary data is CC BY 4.0; full articles and external references have separate terms. The scoped MCP implementation is MIT licensed.
Fair access
Public API/MCP limits: 60 requests per 60 seconds per IP and 100,000 dynamic interface requests per day. A limit response does not imply that the whole public website is unavailable. Cache versioned results and handle 429 responses.
