What is an "agent skill"

A skill is a plain-text instruction file that teaches a coding agent a capability — a SKILL.md, a .cursorrules, an AGENTS.md, a CLAUDE.md, or an MCP server definition. Machine-readable endpoints

• MCP server: Streamable HTTP, no auth. Tools search_skills, get_skill, recommend_skills (ranked, explained recommendations from a project's languages, dependencies, task and agent) and install_skill (exact per-agent install command or file, with the safety summary; read-only).
