Sitegoalie

Remote MCP server for Sitegoalie, a hosted dashboard for agencies that look after client WordPress sites. Read site status (pending updates, issues, uptime, PHP errors, broken links, performance, client reports) and, when the workspace allows changes, run a Safe Update, send a client report or log work.

Documentation

Sitegoalie backs up first, compares screenshots and tests checkout before and after a WordPress update, rolls back what breaks, and keeps your clients in the loop.

Manage multiple WordPress sites from one dashboard. Built for agencies looking after 5 to 100 client sites.

Three problems every agency knows, and what fixes each.

Updates break sites

One bad plugin update and a client’s checkout is down while you are asleep.

Safe Updates Backs up first, tests before and after, and rolls back what breaks.

Clients never see your work

Good maintenance is quiet, so from the client’s side it looks like nothing happened.

Client portal and monthly summaries Show clients what you did, under your name.

Thirty dashboards to check

Every site has its own logins, tabs and alerts, and something always slips.

One overview of every site See what needs attention first, in one place.

Safe WordPress updates for every client site.

Every update follows the same five steps, in this order, on every site where you switch it on.

  1. Back up first

A recent backup is required. Sitegoalie takes one with its own backups or UpdraftPlus before anything changes.
  2. Before checks

Screenshots of key pages, a checkout test, forms and wp-admin.
  3. Update

Plugins, themes and WordPress core are updated with WordPress’s own updater.
  4. After checks

The same pages and tests run again and are compared.
  5. Verdict

You get one clear result. PassedFlagged for reviewRolled back automatically

Runs by itself on each site’s maintenance day, with a summary email when it’s done. Major WordPress releases always wait for your OK.

See exactly what every update changed.

Sitegoalie screenshots your key pages before and after each update and compares them. When a page changes more than 8%, the update is flagged for you to look at, instead of slipping through unnoticed.

  • Before, after and difference images for every key page
  • How much of each page changed, so you know where to look
  • Roll back a flagged update in one click, for 14 days
  • Screenshots kept for 30 days, for your records or your client

Everything else you need to manage multiple WordPress sites.

Backups and restore

Weekly backups kept on the site, on every plan. Restore everything, only files or only the database, with a 7-day undo. Sitegoalie Cloud backups on paid plans are coming soon.

Uptime, SSL and domain expiry

Every site is checked every 5 minutes, with warnings before an SSL certificate or a domain registration expires.

Vulnerability alerts

Known plugin and theme vulnerabilities, matched using Wordfence Intelligence data.

PHP error monitoring

Fatal errors and warnings are grouped and traced to the plugin or theme behind them. Resolve or ignore them from one list.

Performance and broken links

PageSpeed scores and real-user Chrome data, with an alert when a score drops. A weekly scan finds broken links and images.

Plugin health grades

Every plugin gets an A to F grade, with replacement suggestions for the ones going stale.

Accessibility scan

Checks key pages for common accessibility problems.

Automated tools find only some problems. This is not a compliance check.

Automatic maintenance day

Pick a day for each site. Minor WordPress core, plugin and theme updates run on their own and a summary lands in your inbox.

Security hardening

Seven opt-in rules, such as hiding the WordPress version and blocking username discovery. Switched on per site, or from the dashboard on paid plans.

White-label PDF reports

A monthly PDF report with your logo and colours and a log of the work you did, on every paid plan.

Client portal and emails

A status page and email updates for each client, so they can see the care their site gets. On Pro and Agency plans.

Alerts, API and MCP

Alerts to Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams or signed webhooks. A REST API, and an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT.

Your brand, not ours.

The client portal and every email carry your agency’s name and your support link. Clients see you looking after their site, and Sitegoalie stays in the background.

  • Your agency name on the portal and on emails
  • Your support link, so clients know who to ask
  • Client portal and client emails on Pro and Agency plans
  • PDF client reports with your logo on every paid plan

Questions before you connect a site.

Does Sitegoalie change my sites?

Not by default. The plugin only reports what it sees. Safe Updates, Backups and security hardening each change the site only after an administrator switches them on, site by site.

What if an update breaks something?

If the after checks fail, Sitegoalie puts the previous version back automatically from the copy it made just before updating, then tells you what happened. Lesser issues are flagged for your review.

Which backup plugins work?

You don’t need one. Sitegoalie makes its own backups of each site, and Safe Updates can take one before it updates. UpdraftPlus also works if you already use it. Sitegoalie Cloud backups on paid plans are coming soon.

Will my clients see the Sitegoalie name?

On plans with the client portal, the portal and emails carry your agency’s name and support link, not ours.

Where is my data kept, and what does the plugin send?

Site data is stored on Sitegoalie’s servers. The plugin sends status information, such as plugin and theme versions and update results, so your dashboard can show it. The Privacy policy has the full detail.

Your next update night can be a quiet one.

Connect a site, switch on Safe Updates, and let it run on the maintenance day.

  1. Connect a site Install the Sitegoalie plugin and paste your connection key. It takes about two minutes.
  2. See where it stands The first report arrives within minutes: uptime, SSL, vulnerabilities, plugin health and pending updates.
  3. Switch on Safe Updates when you’re ready Pick a maintenance day and let it run, with a summary email after every run.

Read-only by default. Nothing on a site changes until you switch Safe Updates on for it.
