Beat the OSHA HazComdeadline.
SDSentry is OSHA Hazard Communication (HazCom) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management software for small and mid-sized workplaces. OSHA's updated Hazard Communication rule sets an employer deadline of 20 November 2026 (and May 2028 for chemical mixtures). Any business that keeps chemicals on site needs current safety data sheets, GHS labels, a written program, and documented employee training — SDSentry gets all of it in place, in one system, before an inspector asks.
Compliance is what keeps the citations and fines away. HazCom was OSHA's #2 most-cited standard in fiscal 2025 (3,010 citations), and a serious violation can be fined up to $16,550. In 138 federal HazCom citations we reviewed, 91% of the penalty dollars were cited under the written-program (e) and training (h) paragraphs, the two things most SDS software leaves out. SDSentry covers all five things the standard asks for: a written program, a chemical list, workplace labels, SDS access without barriers, and training. See how 10 SDS tools compare.
Free, no signup: the HazCom self-audit at sdsentry.0xpi.com/hazcom-self-audit.html scores your Hazard Communication program against 29 CFR 1910.1200 in about two minutes and names the specific gaps. ⏳ — until the OSHA HazCom employer deadline (Nov 20, 2026) · what employers must do
Hazard Communication is OSHA’s second most-cited standard — OSHA penalties reach $16,550 per serious violation, and $16,550 per day past the abatement date (checked Oct 2026). Mixtures follow on May 19, 2028.
OSHA deadline price: $24 per location a month, or $199 a year (regularly $49). Start by November 20, 2026 and that price stays locked in for as long as you subscribe. Unlimited users, no SDS cap.

✕ The binder is a liability
A printed SDS binder is out of date the moment a supplier reformulates, fragmented across closets and locations, and impossible to search when an inspector asks what is in a container. Yet 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8) requires the sheets to be readily accessible to employees during every work shift.
✓ SDSentry is a system of record
Every safety data sheet, label, training record, and access event lives in one searchable, access-controlled system — scoped by location and exportable on demand. When an inspector asks, the documentation is already assembled.
Built for small workplaces that handle chemicals.

SDS software vs. the whole HazCom standard
An inspector checks your program, not just your binder, and the written program and training are where the fines land. Here is what 29 CFR 1910.1200 asks an employer for, and where SDS-only tools usually stop.
| OSHA HazCom requires | Typical SDS tool | SDSentry |
|---|---|---|
| Safety data sheets employees can reach (g) | Yes | Yes — no-login QR binder |
| Chemical list by location (e)(1)(i) | Usually | Yes |
| Secondary container labels (f)(6) | Often a higher tier | Yes |
| Written HazCom program (e)(1) | Template at best | Generated from your inventory |
| Employee training (h) | Separate product | Training sheets + sign-offs |
Based on 10 competitors' own websites, checked October 2026. Full comparison with sources. OSHA does not certify software; compliance stays with the employer.

One subscription covers the standard end to end — safety data sheets, secondary-container labels, documented employee training, OSHA recordkeeping, and no-login employee access that works offline.
Safety data & inventory
Find any safety data sheet in seconds
Type a product name or scan its barcode. SDSentry looks for the manufacturer’s own current sheet first, shows where each sheet came from and how confident the match is, and tells you plainly when it cannot find a reliable one — so you can upload the PDF yourself instead of filing the wrong sheet.
Bulk add & importNew
Paste up to 100 products at once and SDSentry locates each safety data sheet in the background, or import an existing list from a spreadsheet. A large library comes in within minutes.
Full-text SDS searchNew
Search inside every stored sheet by ingredient or hazard (H-) code to surface every affected product across all of your locations — not just by product name.
Per-location inventory
Each site maintains its own chemical inventory, scoped at the database level. Switch context in one click; inventories never cross between locations.
SDS upload & review trackingNew
Attach your own PDF to any item, mark it reviewed, and receive a color-coded indicator when a sheet is aging and due for re-verification.
Phone barcode scanning
Pair a phone with a QR code and scan a product's UPC; the corresponding SDS appears on the main screen. No application to install.
Quantity & threshold trackingNew
Record on-hand quantities and flag items above a maximum threshold. The same figures populate your EPCRA Tier II inventory.
Vendor directoryNew
Maintain supplier contacts and account numbers per location, associated with the products you procure from each.
Automatic SDS-update detectionNew
Each month SDSentry re-checks every sheet on file, flags manufacturer revisions and aging documents, and calls them out in a weekly compliance digest — you control the version of record.
Compliance & recordkeeping
HazCom training guidesNew
A printable, signable training guide built on OSHA 1910.1200(h) is generated for every product — hazards, PPE, first aid, spill response, and incompatibilities. Ready to train a new hire on day one.
Training records & e-signaturesNew
Document who was trained on which product, capture an ESIGN-Act electronic signature with timestamp, and print a dated certificate for the employee file. Dental and medical offices can also keep bloodborne pathogens training records with the elements 29 CFR 1910.1030(h)(2) requires (training dates, a summary of the contents, the trainer’s name and qualifications, and the employee’s job title), with annual retraining dates.
GHS labels & HazCom posters
Print secondary-container GHS labels (Avery 5163) and workplace posters generated from your live inventory, with pictograms and signal words.
Hazard dashboard & mixing check
Review inventory rolled up by hazard class, flag items missing a sheet, and cross-check every product pair against known dangerous combinations.
Incident log & Tier II exportNew
Record spills and exposures, and export the federal EPCRA Tier II chemical inventory directly from your tracked quantities.
Audit log & role-based accessNew
Every login, edit, and billing event is recorded with user, time, and IP (CSV or PDF). Assign owner, admin, and staff roles per location; records archive rather than delete.
OSHA 300 recordkeepingNew
Log recordable injuries and illnesses and generate the OSHA Form 300 log, the 300A annual summary (posted February–April), and the 301 incident report — ready to print. How the 300 log works →
Training-compliance dashboardNew
See, for every product, who is trained, pending a signature, or overdue — across each location — and export the gap list so nothing is missed before an inspection.
Written HazCom programNew
Generate the written Hazard Communication plan required by 29 CFR 1910.1200(e) — the document inspectors ask for first — assembled from your inventory and locations.
Access, sharing & continuity
Shared SDS binder — no loginNew
Publish a read-only link and printable QR code so any employee or inspector can browse a location's sheets during a shift — no account required, revocable at any time. Built for the “readily accessible during each work shift” requirement in 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8).
Offline access & installable web appNew
Save your sheets for offline viewing and install SDSentry to a phone or tablet as a web app (PWA) — it opens like an app with nothing to download from a store. Your library stays available in the stockroom or during an outage.
Full export — no lock-inNew
Download a complete JSON copy of your account, CSV/PDF exports of inventory, training, OSHA 300 and Tier II, and a ZIP of your actual SDS PDFs. Your records and sheets are always yours to take.
Google single sign-onNew
Optional one-click sign-in with Google, alongside standard email-and-password accounts.
In-app help assistantNew
“Ask SDSentry” answers your HazCom, SDS, and how-to questions right inside the app, grounded in OSHA requirements and the product’s own guides.

✕ What you are not getting yet
Customer logos, analyst badges, and a wall of testimonials. SDSentry is early and built by one developer — not a company with a sales floor. The buyer-facing track record is short, and the first facilities on it are the ones whose feedback decides what gets built next. If being an early customer is a problem for your organization, that is a fair reason to wait.
✓ Why your records are safe anyway
Nothing here is held hostage. Export a complete JSON copy of the account whenever you want — plus CSV exports of training records, the audit log and Tier II, printable OSHA 300/300A/301 forms you can save as PDF, and a ZIP of your actual SDS PDFs with a manifest of every product. Cancel at any time: records stay through the billing period and are purged only after 30 days of inactivity. Service status is published, and you can talk directly to the person who writes the code.
Frequently asked questions.
If something is not addressed here, contact dale.weaver@0xpi.com.
Does SDSentry handle HazCom employee training?
Yes. When you add a product, SDSentry generates a printable training guide built around OSHA's required training elements (29 CFR 1910.1200(h)) — the product's hazards, required PPE, safe handling, first aid, spill response, and incompatibilities. You can sign it on screen and save a PDF, or record the training in-app with an ESIGN-Act electronic signature and print a dated certificate for the employee's file.
Can I manage several locations with different managers?
Yes. The company owner has oversight of every location, and you can assign admin or staff roles per site — inventory, training, incidents, and vendors are all scoped per location. Additional sites can be billed centrally, or you can invite a site manager who subscribes and pays for their own location at $24 per month.
Can employees reach the safety data sheets without an account, or offline?
Both. For any location you can publish a read-only Shared SDS Binder — a link and a printable QR code that any worker or inspector can open to browse that site's sheets with no login, ideal for a posted notice or a shared tablet. It is revocable at any time. Staff with accounts can also save the library for offline viewing and install SDSentry like an app, so sheets open in a stockroom or during an internet outage.
Does SDSentry cover OSHA injury recordkeeping and the written program?
Yes. Beyond safety data sheets, SDSentry logs recordable injuries and illnesses and generates the OSHA Form 300 log, the 300A annual summary, and the 301 incident report, plus the written Hazard Communication program required by 29 CFR 1910.1200(e) — all assembled from your inventory and ready to print.
Is the audit log acceptable for an OSHA inspection?
OSHA's HazCom standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) requires safety data sheets to be readily accessible to employees on every shift. SDSentry's audit log records sign-ins, inventory and SDS changes, training records, program and inspection-packet generation, and billing events, with user, time, and IP, so you can show how the program is maintained. It does not log each time a sheet is opened; employee access is provided by the Shared SDS Binder and offline copies. CSV and PDF exports include user, action, resource, timestamp, and IP for every logged event.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your inventory, SDS library, training records, and audit log remain in your account through the end of the billing period, and everything can be exported to CSV beforehand. After 30 days of inactivity following cancellation, the data is purged.
Where does SDSentry obtain its SDS data?
SDSentry queries a chain of providers in priority order: a curated library of verified PDFs, the EPA's PPLS registry, PubChem, and (when necessary) AI-assisted retrieval. Every result is annotated with its source so you know whether the document came from the manufacturer or a curated archive.
How is our data secured?
Access is HTTPS-only with certificates issued by Let's Encrypt. Sessions use HttpOnly cookies with 30-day lifetimes, and passwords are bcrypt-hashed. Multi-tenant data is scoped per company at the database level — there is no path for one organization to access another's inventory or records.
Use SDSentry from your AI assistant
SDSentry works with AI assistants that support MCP (the open Model Context Protocol) — including Claude and ChatGPT. Add it as a connector and just ask, for example “find the Safety Data Sheet for bleach” or “check my HazCom readiness”. Your assistant uses SDSentry and answers right in your chat.
