Use RevExOS Tools Inside Claude
RevExOS runs a free Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, so you can parse invoices and generate AR collections emails without leaving your Claude conversation. For invoice files on your own computer, there is also a Claude skill.
Connector URL
https://revexos.com/api/mcp
Setup
1
Open Claude settings
In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it RevExOS.
2
Paste the connector URL
Enter https://revexos.com/api/mcp as the server URL and click Add. There is no sign-in: if Claude says it couldn't determine how the server signs in, click Continue anyway, then Connect.
3
Ask Claude to draft a collections email
e.g. "Draft a firm collections email for invoice INV-1042, $4,500, due Sep 1, now 20 days overdue." Claude calls the tool and returns a ready-to-send subject and body.
4
Or parse an invoice from a link
e.g. "Parse the invoice at https://example.com/inv-4471.pdf and check the totals. My email is you@company.com." The link must download the file without a login.
What's available today
- parse_invoice: give Claude a public link to an invoice PDF or image and get back the header fields, every line item, and a check that the totals add up. Same engine as the Invoice Parser, 5 parses per email per day. The file is not stored.
- generate_ar_collection_email: the same logic behind the AR Collections Email Generator.
Both tools need an email address to run. RevExOS uses it only to send occasional updates about new free AP/AR tools, never spam. To parse invoice files on your own computer instead of by link, install the Invoice Parser skill for Claude.
Parse invoice files with the Claude skill
The connector needs a public link. To parse a file you uploaded to Claude or have on disk, install the RevExOS Invoice Parser skill (free, open source). It returns the same fields and totals checks, and can save CSV or JSON.
1
Claude Code
Run /plugin marketplace add prab-hub/revexos-invoice-parser, then /plugin install revexos-invoice-parser@revexos-invoice-parser. This adds the skill and the connector above.
2
claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Cowork
Download revexos-invoice-parser.zip from the latest GitHub release, then go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill.
3
Allow network access to revexos.com
The skill sends the file to revexos.com from Claude's code sandbox. In Settings → Capabilities, add revexos.com to the allowed domains for code execution (or allow all domains). On Team and Enterprise plans an org owner may need to change this in the admin settings.
Limits: 2 parses a day per network, 5 with an email. Files up to 3MB. The file is not stored.
Troubleshooting
"405" or "Not found" when adding the connector
Check the URL is exactly https://revexos.com/api/mcp.
"Couldn't determine how this server signs in"
Expected: the server needs no sign-in. Click Continue anyway, then Connect.
Skill fails with "Tunnel connection failed: 403 Forbidden" or "connect_rejected"
Your network policy for code execution is blocking revexos.com. Add it to the allowed domains (step 3 above). Retrying without that won't help.
parse_invoice says the link returned a web page or a login screen
The link has to download the file directly and publicly. Google Drive links work when shared as "Anyone with the link". For a file on your computer, use the skill instead.
