The rules it keeps

• Every rate comes with the day RateSonar recorded it.
• A day without a record repeats the last rate and says so. It is never called recorded.
• No named-bank history is drawn before RateSonar's own records start in June 2026.
• RateSonar takes no applications and no commissions. Your agent sends you to the lender.

If it does not work

Claude shows a warning when you add it

Claude warns about any connector added from a link. Check that the address is api.ratesonar.com, then select Continue.

“Couldn't reach the MCP server”

Use https://api.ratesonar.com with nothing after it, and choose No sign-in. Then try again in a minute.

RateSonar does not appear in a chat

Turn it on in that chat: in Claude, + then Connectors; in ChatGPT, type @RateSonar.

A call is refused

A usage limit was reached. The message says when it resets. For more, ask for higher limits below.

An answer has no rows

RateSonar's record starts on 12 June 2026, and rates are as advertised on the day shown. Try a wider question or another lender.

Common questions

Do I need an account or a key?

No. Add https://api.ratesonar.com as an MCP server and your agent can call it at once. Series calls without a key return the last 31 days.

Which AI tools can use RateSonar?

Claude (the Claude app, Claude Code and the Claude API), ChatGPT, Codex, the OpenAI API, Cursor, VS Code, LM Studio and any other tool that connects to a remote MCP server.

Is there a one-click install for ChatGPT?

Not yet. ChatGPT has no install link for servers outside its directory. Add it on chatgpt.com in three steps: Plugins, then Add custom MCP server, then paste the address with No authentication.

Where do the answers come from?

From rates RateSonar recorded from Australian bank websites and public Consumer Data Right product feeds. Every rate carries the day it was recorded.

Can my agent apply for a loan or open an account?

No. RateSonar only reads recorded rates. It takes no applications and gives no personal advice; your agent sends you to the lender.
