Progask

A Past–Now–Future task board you run from Claude or ChatGPT. Add, reschedule and complete tasks, add notes, and ask "where is this at?" — dates decide what's slipped, in progress or upcoming, so no cards to drag.

Progress, before anyone asks.

Plan your week in ChatGPT or Claude. Progask turns it into dates and sorts it into due, late and next — and nothing moves unless you say so.

  • What’s on this week? Now · ends this week
  • What’s coming? Ahead · ends later

Sound familiar?

  • You drag cards to say what you already know.

To do, doing, done. Moving the card is not the work — it is the rent you pay to keep the board believable, and the week you skip it is the week it starts lying.
  • The spreadsheet grows a column every month.

Rows, columns, colours, one more filter. Eventually keeping the sheet tidy is its own job, and it still cannot tell you what is late.
  • Nothing shows what you have been avoiding.

Dates pass and get quietly edited. The board stays green, the question “why am I procrastinating?” has nowhere to look, and the answer is never written down.

Progask has no columns to drag and no status to update. You give a task a start and an end; the board does the rest, and keeps what slipped in plain sight.

How it works

  1. 01

Every task has a date range.

A start and an end. No statuses to update, no cards to drag, nothing to set up.
  2. 02

Its end date decides where it goes.

What did you miss? Anything that ended before this week: that’s Slipped. What’s on this week? Now. What’s coming? Ahead. Worked out fresh every time you look.
  3. 03

Nothing moves until you move it.

A slipped task waits in Slipped until you pick a new date, and every move is kept — so the plan can’t quietly rewrite itself.

No notification, no auto-reschedule, no quiet edit. It sits in Slipped with the days counted until you give it a new date — and that move is kept, so you can see how the plan actually went.

Against what you use now

ProgaskA status boardA spreadsheet
Where a task sitsWherever its end date puts itIn the column you dragged it toIn the row you typed it on
Keeping it trueNothing to moveYou move every card, every weekYou retype, refilter, recolour
When a week ends with it openIt goes to Slipped and waits for youNothing happensA cell turns red, if you built that
Changing a dateAppends a move; the old plan is keptOverwrites the old oneOverwrites the old one
What it can tell you laterWhat slipped, how far, and how oftenWho moved which cardWhatever formula you wrote

The difference is not features. A status board and a sheet both let a date be overwritten, so a plan can quietly become a plan that was never late. Progask cannot do that.

Why it exists

I kept asking two questions of my own to-do list: “What do I need to do?” and “Why am I procrastinating?” A list that only ever shows what is left could answer neither.

Progask is my attempt at a board that answers both without being asked to: it reads your dates, shows this week, and keeps whatever slipped in plain view until you choose a new date. It is early, and I am testing whether people will plan in date ranges at all.

The person who builds Progask

Questions

Is it free?

Yes, while it is in beta. We will write to you at least 30 days before anything changes.

Can my team use it?

Not yet. Boards are personal today; team workspaces are planned.

Is there a phone app?

No app. The website is built to work on a phone.

What if I only set due dates?

One tap sets a single day. A second tap makes it a range. The board sorts by the end date.

Why can I not drag cards?

Position comes from dates, so there is nothing to move. Change the date and the card moves itself.

What email will you send me?

Only a verification code when you sign up, and a link if you reset your password. Nothing marketing.

Start

Put a real week on it.

Give each task a start and an end. The board sorts them, and keeps what slipped where you can see it.
