Make a Playable Gift with your AI assistant
Your AI assistant can make a Playable Gift for you. Tell it who the game is for and two or three true, specific things about them, and it asks Playable Gift to make the game. About a minute later, you get a link to send them. It's free.
A prompt to start
Make a Playable Gift for my sister Alex. She's always five minutes late, sings in the car and refuses to share fries. Use playablegift.com.
Use your own person and two or three specific things about them. Habits, catchphrases and inside jokes work best.
Connect your assistant
If your assistant supports MCP connectors, add this address. It needs no account. If the free games for assistants run out, your assistant may ask you to sign in with your email.

If your assistant can read web pages instead, it can follow start.txt. Developers can use the agent guide and the OpenAPI specification, and the MCP server card lists the same tools.
What your assistant does
- It asks for the recipient's name and two or three specific habits or inside jokes, if you haven't given them.
- It calls make_game with your words, then checks every 10 seconds until the game is ready.
- It gives you the play link to send them. It keeps the manage link private and shares it only with you.
Your assistant doesn't invent the game itself, because Playable Gift's game maker designs and builds it. It never pays for anything and never messages anyone for you.
Keep the personal parts private
Anyone with the play link can play the game, so send it only to the person it's for. The manage link is for you alone. Game content is stored in a database and isn't indexed by search engines. More in the privacy notes.
Available tools
make_game and get_made_game are all most assistants need. The other tools are for assistants that write their own HTML game and save it as a free private draft.
make_game: Starts generation of a small browser game about one person from the sender's supplied habits or inside jokes. Returns immediately with build progress. Games are free within a daily allowance. When the assistant allowance runs out, returns an OAuth sign-in request or a handoff URL. It never charges anyone or sends messages.get_made_game: Returns the current stage of a game generation job identified by its private idempotency key. A completed job includes the title, cast, recipient play link and sender management link. Management links grant private sender access.get_gift_catalog: Returns the supported formats, capabilities, requirements and limits for saving custom HTML games as private drafts.create_custom_game: Saves a supplied self-contained HTML game as a free private draft. Returns a preview URL and private management token. Accepted games have inline code and embedded assets, keyboard and touch controls, a goal and restart. Network requests, payments and personal-data collection are prohibited. Repeated requests with the same idempotency key return the existing draft.revise_custom_game: Replaces an existing private draft with supplied HTML and game details. Requires the draft's management token and current revision number. A stale expectedRevision is rejected to prevent overwriting another edit.get_gift: Returns a private draft's metadata, current revision, preview link and status for the supplied management token. Game HTML is excluded.get_gift_history: Returns the last five retained revisions of a private draft for the supplied management token. Revision metadata may contain the sender's personal content. Game HTML is excluded.export_gift: Returns a private draft as portable JSON containing its complete self-contained game HTML. The recipient's email address and private tokens are excluded. An optional revision number selects a retained revision instead of the current version.
