Searching works as soon as the URL is added: up to 3 results per search, up to 10 searches a day, with no account. When your assistant needs your PeopleSearch.im account (to reveal a person, fetch an email, or search more), it asks you to sign in and approve the connection. Is there an MCP server for finding people and their emails?

Yes. PeopleSearch.im is a remote MCP server. Connect it to Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client and your agent can search a global professional database in plain English, reveal full profiles, and fetch verified professional (work) emails, billed to your prepaid credits.

Which MCP clients does it work with?

Any client that supports remote (Streamable HTTP) MCP servers: Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and agent frameworks. Stdio-only clients can connect through the mcp-remote bridge. Setup steps for each are on the developer page.

Can I use it in Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and paste https://peoplesearch.im/api/mcp. In ChatGPT, turn on developer mode and create an app with the same URL, choosing OAuth. Either way you sign in to PeopleSearch.im and approve the connection once; there is no API key to copy.

How much does it cost?

Searching people and companies is free. Revealing a profile or running a lookup costs credits (most cost 1 credit and refund automatically when nothing is found). Credit packs start at $5 with no subscription, and new accounts get free credits.

Is the data real, and are the emails verified?

Profiles come from a B2B people-data provider, and professional emails are looked up live at request time (work addresses, not personal ones), so they are current rather than pattern-guessed. Not every person has a findable email; when none is found, the credit is refunded.

Is it in the Official MCP Registry?

Yes, as im.peoplesearch/email-finder. Clients that install from the registry by name can add it directly; everyone else can point at the remote URL below.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The server is remote: add https://peoplesearch.im/api/mcp to your client and approve the connection when it asks. There is nothing to install, and no local process to keep running.

Do I need an API key?

Not with clients that support MCP authorization (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code): they ask you to sign in and approve the connection, and you can disconnect them any time on the developer page. For scripts or a client without OAuth, create an API key there instead. Both bill the same credit balance as the REST API and the web app.
