• Is it free?

  Yes. This version of Otisbase is free and stays free. Your AI assistant’s subscription remains separate. Pricing and fair use

• How is it sustainable?

  Startup support from Cloudflare, where Otis runs, and Anthropic, makers of Claude, covers running costs. Thanks to both.

• Does Otis read my conversations?

  No. Your assistant calls Otis to save or read specific records. Otis stores those records, not your chat history.

• Does Otis run its own AI?

  No model runs on Otis. Your assistant handles the thinking and writing. Otis just stores and checks records.

• Can it send invoices or take payments?

  No. Your assistant can turn an issued invoice into a document for you to send. You collect the money and report payments back.

• What about sales tax and VAT?

  Otis stores the tax treatment you confirm and includes setup guides for the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. It doesn’t decide what you owe.

• Where are my records, and can I get them out?

  Each business has its own database on Cloudflare, stored in the European Union. Ask for an export at any time, and your assistant can turn it into a CSV for your accountant.
