Documentation
What it can do
- Search titles. “Find the Made in Abyss movie.”
- Watch order. “What order do I watch Monogatari in?” Every season, film and special in release order, and where a new viewer can start.
- Filler guide. “Which Naruto Shippuden episodes can I skip?” Episode numbers for a reviewed set of long-running series.
- What's airing. “What episodes come out this week?” Broadcast dates in Japan.
The connector needs no account. Results are safe-for-work titles and carry order, counts, dates and episode numbers, never plot summaries, artwork or adult titles. MyAnimeTracker tracks anime and does not host or stream video.
Add the plugin
Start with the public address. It needs no account:
https://myanimetracker.com/api/mcp
Claude
TODO: add the approved Claude directory listing link. The listing is approved, and the public install link is not on this page yet.
Open Settings, then Connectors, add a custom connector, and paste the public address.
ChatGPT
Add a custom connector with the public address. Custom connectors need developer mode in ChatGPT's settings.
Grok and Grok Bot
Open grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, and paste the public address. Grok can look things up but can't sign in to your list yet.
TODO: add a Grok Bot plugin link. There is no Grok Bot install link in the project yet.
Muse
TODO: add Muse install steps. No Muse install link or steps are documented for this page yet.
With your account
This part is optional. Sign in with your MyAnimeTracker account and your AI app can also work with your own list:
- Read your list. “What am I watching?” Titles, statuses, scores and how many episodes you have watched.
- Add a series. “Put Frieren on my plan to watch.” A series is tracked as one thing, so its seasons and films count together.
- Mark episodes watched. “I finished episode 12.” It marks episodes up to that number and never unmarks one.
It can't remove anything from your list or change what is already on it. The app holds a sign-in for your account until you remove it, so connect only apps you trust. Use the account address instead of the public address. Lookups work right away, and your app asks you to sign in the first time you ask about your own list:
https://myanimetracker.com/api/mcp/account
Claude and ChatGPT can use the account address the same way you added the public address. Grok can't sign in to your list yet, so leave Grok on the public address.
Your app sends you to MyAnimeTracker to sign in and choose Allow. You can remove an app any time in Settings, then Privacy.
Developers and other apps
Codex, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP apps use the same two addresses. The examples use the public address, so lookups need no account. To use your list, put the account address in the same place. Lookups still work before you sign in.
Codex
Lookups only:
codex mcp add myanimetracker --url https://myanimetracker.com/api/mcp
Your list. This signs you in once in the browser:
codex mcp add myanimetracker --url https://myanimetracker.com/api/mcp/account
codex mcp login myanimetracker
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http myanimetracker https://myanimetracker.com/api/mcp
For your list, use the account address in that command.
Cursor and other MCP apps
Add this to the app's MCP settings. It is the public address. For your list, set url to the account address.

Data and credits
Catalog facts come from the Anime Offline Database (ODbL 1.0) and TVmaze (CC BY-SA 4.0). Filler labels are adapted from fan wikis under CC BY-SA 3.0. Every result names its sources so your AI app can pass the credit on. The full list, with licenses and downloads, is on the data sources page.
