Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http whatjobs https://mcp.whatjobs.com/mcp

Other MCP clients

Add a remote MCP server with the endpoint URL and the Streamable HTTP transport. The configuration format depends on the client; a typical entry looks like this:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "whatjobs": {
      "url": "https://mcp.whatjobs.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Authentication and transport

AccessRead-only. Every tool is annotated readOnlyHint: true, destructiveHint: false. Nothing is ever applied for, posted or changed.
TransportStreamable HTTP, stateless: each request stands alone.
Protocol versions2026-07-28, 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26
ResultsText for the model plus structuredContent; an MCP Apps view (ui://whatjobs/view.html) renders them as job cards and charts in hosts that support it.

Tool reference

Results and links

  • Job results include the title, company, place, salary when the listing shows one, when it was posted, part of the description, and a link to the job on WhatJobs.
  • Salary figures come from current listings that show a salary, in each country's own currency, for the pay period most listings use. Amounts are never converted between currencies.
  • Links carry WhatJobs' publisher ID and utm_source naming the assistant (for example chatgpt or claude), so WhatJobs can attribute the visit.
  • If the job data can't be loaded, tools still answer with a link to the same search on WhatJobs instead of failing.

Countries

United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Germany, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bahrain, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Dominican Republic, Algeria, Nigeria, Netherlands and France. The country is inferred from the place searched, or can be passed as a market code.

Your data

  • What we receive. Only the search details the assistant sends: the role, place and country, and for profile matches up to four job titles and ten skills. Each field is cut to 100 characters, so there's no room for a conversation or a CV's text. We never ask for your name or contact details.
  • What we keep. A log of each request (the search details, which assistant sent it and what the app showed) to run and improve the service. Logs are deleted after 6 months.
  • On your device. The results view remembers which jobs you have opened, to mark them "Viewed". That list stays in your browser for up to 90 days and is never sent to us.
  • Deleting your data. Disconnect WhatJobs in your assistant's settings at any time. To have your logs deleted sooner, or to get a copy, contact us with roughly what you searched and when.
