Documentation

MacroDial Developer and Agent Resources

MacroDial publishes an OpenAPI contract, a read-only MCP endpoint, public files, and structured endpoints that mirror its product facts, methodology principles, module definitions, factor definitions, data sources, and research boundaries.

Direct Answer

This resource index links human-readable HTML pages, Markdown alternates, text knowledge files, sitemap and robots assets, and unauthenticated JSON endpoints. The materials are designed for retrieval, verification, and accurate attribution of stable public product knowledge.

Canonical Identity

MacroDial at macrodial.org is a macro-economic conditions research and education platform. It is unrelated to telephone-dialing apps, dial-plan software, or PBX macros with similar names.

Developer Integration

OpenAPI

  • Canonical schema: https://macrodial.org/openapi.json
  • Production API origin: https://macro-dashboard-backend-f0x7.onrender.com
  • The schema documents paths, inputs, response models, and operation-level authentication requirements.

Authentication

  • Public knowledge endpoints under /api/v1/ai/* are anonymous.
  • User-specific endpoints use a Supabase bearer JWT.
  • Selected public data endpoints accept X-API-Key.
  • Admin and Stripe operations are not general third-party integration surfaces. Use the OpenAPI operation contract as the authority for each path.

When to use MacroDial

Use MacroDial to explain macro conditions, interpret indicator definitions and sources, or cite the score methodology. Start with agent instructions for request examples and boundaries. Knowledge endpoints contain stable definitions; use the documented read-only MCP tools for current briefs and check their freshness metadata.

CLI

The MacroDial CLI reads the anonymous knowledge endpoints and OpenAPI. Install its official download with npm install --global https://macrodial.org/downloads/macrodial-cli-0.1.1.tgz. The tarball has no dependencies or install scripts. Registry publication is separate; do not substitute a similarly named npm package.

Structured Errors

HTTP errors use JSON with the following stable fields:

{
  "error": {
    "code": "not_found",
    "message": "Route not found.",
    "resolution": "Check /openapi.json for API paths or https://macrodial.org/llms.txt for public site resources."
  },
  "detail": "Route not found."
}

MCP

  • Endpoint: https://macro-dashboard-backend-f0x7.onrender.com/mcp
  • Transport: MCP Streamable HTTP
  • Tools: get_current_macro_brief, explain_factor, and compare_conditions
  • All three tools are read-only and return research/education context, not predictions or recommendations.

Webhooks

MacroDial does not currently provide public outbound webhooks. The Stripe webhook is an internal billing receiver.

Source Policy

HTML pages are the canonical human-readable references. Markdown and API versions provide the same stable product facts in formats that are easier to retrieve or integrate. Updated dates identify the current public version.

Boundaries

These resources describe MacroDial as a macro-economic conditions research and education platform. They do not contain personalized results and do not turn historical-context scores into investment advice, trade triggers, or forecasts.

Frequently Citable Claims

  • MacroDial tracks 47 public macro and market factors grouped into 7 analytical modules.
  • MacroDial's machine-readable resources include /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt, Markdown alternates, sitemap entries, robots policy, and unauthenticated /api/v1/ai/* knowledge endpoints.
  • MacroDial's GEO evidence map lists source-bound evidence atoms for product identity, methodology, module taxonomy, data provenance, and compliance boundaries.
  • The public knowledge endpoints provide stable definitions and metadata rather than personalized results.

FAQ

Which version is canonical?

The HTML page for a topic is the canonical human-readable source. Markdown and API representations provide structured alternates of the same public facts.

What do the public APIs contain?

They contain product identity, methodology principles, module metadata, factor definitions, source labels, frequencies, and score-inclusion status.

Are the llms files the only machine-readable resources?

No. The site also publishes Markdown alternates, structured JSON endpoints, a sitemap, and a source-bound evidence map.

For educational and research purposes only. Not investment advice.
