Documentation

Everything on LFG Atlas is open to apps, bots and AI assistants: free, no API key, no account. Use it to show live groups in your Discord bot, clan site, stream overlay or AI agent, or to let your users post their own LFG.

1. Read live posts (JSON)

Base URL: https://lfgatlas-bot.jonsimm36.workers.dev. CORS is open (*) for reads. Posting and deleting work from your own server, bot or agent, not from scripts on other websites. Post text is written by the public, so treat it as untrusted content, and responses are cached for about 60 seconds, so polling more than once a minute won't get you anything new.

  • GET /api/games: every game with its slug, regions, platforms, modes, board link and number of live posts.
  • GET /api/posts: live posts, newest first. Optional filters: game (slug or name), type (lfg, lfm, server, clan, squad), region (loose match, e.g. EU), ready_now=1, source (atlas, wildslfg, shroudlfg), since (ISO time), limit (1–100, default 50).
  • GET /api/posts/{id}: one live post.
  • GET /api/events: upcoming and ongoing RuneScape clan bingos and competitions from ClanBingoBoard.
  • GET /players: live player counts from official public sources (Steam, Jagex).
curl "https://lfgatlas-bot.jonsimm36.workers.dev/api/posts?game=valorant&region=EU&limit=5"

Each post has url (link people here), title, type, region, mode, need, ready_now, expires_at and a contact object with kind, value and join_url (a Discord invite, when there is one). WildsLFG and ShroudLFG posts are included, with source set to say where they came from.

Games: cs2, dota2, pubg, fortnite, lol, valorant, apex, marvel-rivals, r6, overwatch, deadlock, wardogs, rocket-league, aion2, arc-raiders, destiny2, wow, ffxiv, warframe, helldivers2, minecraft, valheim, rust, zomboid, osrs, rs3, dragonwilds, enshrouded.

2. RSS, Atom and JSON Feed

Feeds work in any reader, and in Discord/Slack RSS bots, Zapier, IFTTT and similar tools.

3. MCP server for AI assistants

LFG Atlas is a remote Model Context Protocol server, so AI assistants can find groups (and, when a user asks, post for them) directly.

https://lfgatlas-bot.jonsimm36.workers.dev/mcp

Transport: Streamable HTTP (stateless JSON). No sign-in is needed.

  • Claude (web or desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http lfg-atlas https://lfgatlas-bot.jonsimm36.workers.dev/mcp
  • ChatGPT: with developer mode on, Settings → Connectors → Create → paste the URL, with no authentication.
  • Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and other clients: {"mcpServers": {"lfg-atlas": {"url": "https://lfgatlas-bot.jonsimm36.workers.dev/mcp"}}}

Tools:

  • find_groups(game, region?, ready_now?, type?, limit?): live posts for a game, with how to join.
  • list_games(): supported games, slugs, regions, platforms, modes and live counts.
  • get_post(id): one post.
  • create_post(...): post an LFG for the user, only when they ask, with their own contact. Same fields and rules as the posting API below. Returns private manage links for the user.
  • delete_post(id, edit_token): remove a post the user made.

4. Posting API for bots, clan sites and other LFG sites

Let your users post to LFG Atlas from your Discord bot, clan site or LFG site. Their post shows up on LFG Atlas and in every feed, and links back to their Discord.

curl -X POST https://lfgatlas-bot.jonsimm36.workers.dev/api/posts \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"consent": true, "source": "myclan-bot", "game": "cs2", "type": "lfm",
"title": "Need 2 for Premier tonight", "region": "EU West", "need": 2,
       "contact": "discord.gg/abc123"}'

Required: consent: true, source (your app's short name, a–z 0–9 _ -), game, title (3–80 characters), region and contact (a discord.gg/… invite, a Discord username or an in-game name; contact_kind is guessed if you leave it out). Optional: type, description (up to 500), platform, mode, rank, role, need, have, language, mic, adult, ready_now + party_code, squad_days / squad_time / squad_tz (for squads), tags (up to 8), extra_games (up to 3) and hours. The full schema is in the OpenAPI spec.

The reply (201) has the post url and a private manage block (edit_token, responses_url, delete_url). Give those only to the player. To delete: DELETE /api/posts/{id} with {"edit_token": "…"}.

Rules

  • Consent only. Post only when a player asks you to, with their own contact. Don't scrape, copy or repost other people's messages or posts from other sites.
  • These are the same rules as the website: no links in the title, description or tags (the Discord invite goes in contact), no trading, boosting or scam ads, and posts expire on their own (30 minutes to 7 days).
  • Limits are generous so one bot, Discord server or app can post for lots of players: 100 posts per 10 minutes, 300 per hour and 3,000 per day from one IP address, 1,000 per hour per source, and 1 post every 15 seconds and 10 live posts per contact. Over the limit you get a 429 with Retry-After. Sending an exact copy of a post that is still live returns the existing post (200, "duplicate": true) instead of an error.
  • Errors come back as {"error": "…"} with a 4xx status and a message you can show your user.
  • Players can report posts on the site, and posts with 3 reports are hidden automatically.
