How to Read the Future MCP

Search released podcast episodes with citation-stable transcripts, timestamps, hashes, and correction-aware records.

Documentation

01 / Start

Start with released episodes

The released-episode API lists public episodes and representations. Drafts, raw transcripts, and extraction candidates are excluded.

curl -fsS https://howtoreadthefuture.com/episodes/001-michael-gibson-patrons-of-progress.json

02 / Formats

Available representations

For each release, the site provides:

  • Semantic, server-rendered HTML at the canonical episode URL
  • Markdown and JSON beside each episode
  • WebVTT transcripts when available
  • Podcasting 2.0 transcript and chapter links in RSS
  • llms.txt and the small-corpus llms-full.txt convenience files

03 / API + MCP

API and MCP

The API catalog, API reference, OpenAPI schema, MCP catalog, MCP server card, and Agent Skills index are deployed on this domain.

The MCP connection endpoint is https://howtoreadthefuture.com/mcp.

Release-backed requests read the same snapshot as the website and preserve timestamp citations and correction state. Neither service includes write tools, arbitrary URL fetching, or private corpus access.

04 / Evidence

Citation and corrections

Use the canonical episode URL and, for transcript evidence, the speaker, timestamp, stable turn anchor, transcript version, and content version supplied by the artifact. Content hashes are normative. Corrected or withdrawn material keeps a resolvable record instead of silently disappearing.

05 / Rights

Rights

Search and attributed real-time retrieval are allowed. Quotation requires attribution. Model-training rights are reserved. Read the complete usage policy or its machine-readable form.
