Bing Webmaster Tools MCP Server

@urdigital/mcp-server-bing-webmaster

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server exposing Bing Webmaster Tools to Claude, Claude Code, and any other MCP-compatible client.

Built against Bing's JSON/HTTP REST API (ssl.bing.com/webmaster/api.svc/json) rather than the legacy SOAP/POX endpoints, which Microsoft is retiring on August 31, 2026.

Install

No install needed — run directly with npx:

Configure

Get an API key from bing.com/webmasters → your site → Settings → API Access.

Add to your MCP client config (e.g. Claude Desktop's claude_desktop_config.json):

All 12 tools have been tested against a real, multi-site Bing Webmaster account. Two things worth knowing:

• bing_get_query_stats / bing_get_page_stats: rows where Clicks: 0 will show AvgClickPosition: -1 — that's Bing's sentinel for "no clicks occurred, so there's no click position to average," not an error.
• bing_get_url_info: HttpStatus: 0 and DocumentSize: 0 are a long-standing, undocumented quirk in Bing's own API (visible in Microsoft's own official examples going back to 2011) — DiscoveryDate and LastCrawledDate are the fields that reliably work on this endpoint.
