One connection for Film and Series

Add this remote MCP server in your assistant. Choose OAuth when asked, then sign in to Genflick and connect your whole account or choose specific workspaces. You can connect with no existing workspaces and create new ones from your conversation.

No plugin download or access request is required. Your assistant or workspace administrator may control whether custom MCP connections are available.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add connector → Add custom connector. Some versions show Connectors in Settings.
  2. Name it Genflick and paste the server URL above.
  3. For OAuth client registration, choose Register automatically (DCR).
  4. Connect your Genflick account, review access, and enable Genflick in your conversation.

For Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http genflick https://genflick.com/mcp/studios, then use /mcp to authenticate.

Codex MCP instructions

ChatGPT

  1. In Settings → Security and login, enable Developer mode and Enforce CSP in developer mode. Then open ChatGPT Plugins, choose the plus button, then Add custom MCP server → Create MCP App.
  2. Name it Genflick, paste the server URL, and select OAuth with dynamic client registration. No client ID or secret needs to be entered.
  3. In advanced OAuth settings, set Base scopes to offline_access so the connection can refresh your sign-in.
  4. Create and install the custom connection, then sign in to Genflick when prompted.
  5. In a ChatGPT chat, select Genflick with @. If Try in chat opens a Work upgrade screen, return to Chat and select the connection there.

If your ChatGPT interface uses Apps → Advanced settings, enable developer mode and create the connection there. Workspace permissions may require an administrator.

Start with a saved story

Use Genflick. Discover the Series and Film toolsets and read their skills. Create a Series called The Last Broadcast: a pirate radio crew receives tomorrow’s disasters, and every warning changes who survives. Save a Series Brief with the premise, characters and first episode outline. Show me the saved work before proposing any paid production.

The tool library provides nested toolsets, complete operation schemas and creative skills. Your assistant chooses how to work on each step. Documents and literal edits save into the same studio you open in Genflick.

The library exposes every toolset available to Film and Series agents, including shared tools for research, documents, collaboration, Workshop, Social and production. It reads the native catalogs, skills and instructions directly, so agent updates appear in the MCP automatically.

Your assistant can prepare and start a studio session, then use the native tools itself through call_studio_tool and retrieve saved observations through read_studio_tool_result. It can also delegate a task to a Genflick agent. Both paths use the same studio data and workflows.

You control access and spending

Choose Whole account to make current and future workspaces, Library and Social available, then tell your assistant which project to work on. Or limit access to selected workspaces and those the assistant creates for you. Existing account permissions still apply. Paid production shows a proposal with the task and credit ceiling for you to approve in Genflick. A connection does not purchase credits or enable automatic reloads.

Work continues in Genflick after a chat disconnects. Ask your assistant for the saved task’s status before repeating a request. Manage tasks in Genflick and disconnect an assistant from Connected assistants.
