GameDeal public API

Unauthenticated, read-only JSON endpoints for human-directed integrations. No account or API-key registration is available. Requests are rate-limited per IP. The API is excluded from crawler access by robots.txt; these docs do not grant permission to crawl it. Do not automatically follow offer clickout URLs.

Agent access and authentication policy

AI catalog metadata follows the current v1.0 draft from Agent-Card/ai-catalog.

GET /games

Returns up to 50 publicly eligible games in discovery order:

Games without a current, visible offer are omitted.

GET /shops

Returns up to 100 shops, ordered by name:

An unknown or ineligible game returns 404. Treat clickout_url as a user choice; do not fetch or follow it automatically.

GET /health

Returns {"status":"ok","database":"connected"} when the database check succeeds. A failed check returns HTTP 500 with {"status":"error","database":"not_connected"}.

Per-IP limits: /games and /shops 30 requests per minute; game offers 60 per minute; /health 120 per minute. Exceeded limits return HTTP 429. Responses may change as the public API evolves.

MCP connection

Connect a remote MCP client to https://gamedeal.eu/api/mcp using Streamable HTTP. No account, API key or OAuth flow is required. This endpoint serves user-requested comparisons; it does not permit bulk crawling, model training or automatic merchant visits.

Discover available tools through MCP tools/list:

• search_games: lexical title/slug/verified-alias candidates. Confirm the intended title, product type and canonical slug before comparing offers.
• get_game_offers: current visible offers for that slug, with optional activation-platform and shop-type filters or keyshop exclusion. Original currencies, region, edition and freshness remain visible. Results link to the GameDeal game page.
• get_price_history: bounded recorded observations for the slug, with currency separation, coverage and truncation. This is not a universal historical low or continuous availability chart.

The server supports read-only requests, not purchases, catalogue edits or account actions. Request bodies are limited to 16 KiB, with 30 requests per IP per minute. Browser requests with an Origin header must match this site's configured origin; ordinary remote MCP clients need no browser session or cookies.

MCP Server Card follows the optional Server Card extension. Tools are discovered from the running server, not duplicated in the card.
