Fuentio: France & Spain company data

Fuentio: official company data for France and Spain, built for AI agents. Ask "Is this supplier still active?", "Which company is behind this SIREN?" or "¿Sigue activa esta sociedad según el BORME?" and get an answer you can trust and prove. What you get: Company lookup and search for France (SIREN, SIRET, name) and Spain (company name, BORME acts since January 2009). One record per real company, matched across registers and GLEIF, with the reason for every match. Company group links (parent and subsidiary companies reported to GLEIF). Company history: what changed and when. A verify_company check for onboarding (KYB): status, address, identifiers and evidence in one call, with a proof code. Insolvency notices for France (BODACC, since 2008). Why agents pick it: Official sources only, never scraped guesses. Every answer includes the source, a link and the check date. When sources disagree, you see both values, never a silent pick. Errors say exactly what to retry. Limits, plainly: France and Spain only. No Spanish NIF/CIF lookup, no full financial statements, no data about people. Pricing: free tier with no key (20 units a day) or a free key (100 units a month) at fuentio.com. Paid plans from €49/month at fuentio.com/pricing.

Documentation

Official company records your agent can use, and cite.

Fuentio runs an MCP server, so Claude, Cursor and any MCP client can verify a French or Spanish company in the middle of a task. Every answer starts with one plain sentence and ends with its source.

Built for AI agents: one MCP server and one REST API, with honest gaps: what isn't covered is said, never guessed.

Every country, covered or not →

  1. Claude Code One command, no key needed to start.
claude mcp add --transport http fuentio https://api.fuentio.com/mcp

    With a key
claude mcp add --transport http fuentio https://api.fuentio.com/mcp \
      --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

  2. Claude Desktop and claude.ai
    1. Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. 2. Name: Fuentio. URL: the address below. Then Add. 3. In a chat, turn on Fuentio from the tools menu and ask, for example, “Is SIREN 441639465 still active?” Custom connectors can't send a key, so they use the keyless trial.

The tools

  • list_coverage () Free Which countries and identifier formats are covered, and how fresh the data is. Call it first when unsure.
  • lookup_company (country, identifier, id_scheme?) 1 unit Verify a company before onboarding, paying or contacting it. France: SIREN, SIRET or VAT number. Spain: Registro Mercantil sheet.
  • search_companies (country, query, postal_code?, locality?, status?, page?) 2 units Find a company by name when you don't know its number.
  • resolve_company (country, name?, identifier?, postal_code?, locality?) 2 units Is this the same company? Match a supplier or customer record (an official ID, or a name with a postcode or town) to the official registers: candidates, each with a decision and the reasons. Only an official ID links; a name is never proof.
  • explain_match (left, right) 1 unit Why two register records are, or are not, the same company: the decision, the reason codes and the evidence.
  • watch_company (entity_id, callback_url) 1 unit Watch a company: when its official records change, Fuentio sends the changes, signed, to your https endpoint. Needs an API key.

What your agent sees

A real record from our snapshot, as the lookup tool returns it:

The tool call

lookup_company({"country": "FR", "identifier": "441639465"})

The first line your agent reads

RENAULT (FR, SIREN 441639465) is active as of 2025-12-06, source: Annuaire des Entreprises (API Recherche d'entreprises).

Then the full record as JSON, with its source, licence and check time.

Prefer plain REST?

The same data over HTTPS. Try it without a key, then create a free key in one call.

A free trial without a key (20 units a day), and free keys with 100 units a month.
