French for PR guides
- Common mistakes when choosing a French provider: Booking a test before you are ready, relying on one provider for everything and trusting a single price without checking the official page are the most common mistakes.
- French language rules for Canadian Express Entry: Express Entry awards additional CRS points for strong French and runs category-based draws for French-speaking candidates who reach NCLC 7 in all four abilities.
- How to choose a French provider for Canadian PR: Match your goal to the right kind of provider: official test centres for exam sessions, schools and courses for classroom learning, and online tutors for remote preparation from anywhere.
- How to read a French provider listing: A listing shows the provider type, tests offered, formats, languages, levels and exam fee. Each fact names the provider page it came from and the date it was checked.
Questions
Who is listed on French4PR?
Official TEF Canada and TCF Canada test centres, French schools and courses including Alliance Française chapters, and online tutors and prep courses. Every row names the provider page its facts come from and the date it was checked. We never list immigration consultants or lawyers.
Is French4PR an immigration consultant or part of the government?
No. French4PR is a directory and a set of free tools. It is not an immigration consultant, not a law firm and not government-affiliated. Nothing here is immigration advice and nothing can promise a score, an invitation to apply or a visa.
How many CRS points does French give in Express Entry?
Under the current rules (checked 2026-10-20 on canada.ca): NCLC 7 or higher in all four French abilities earns 25 points, or 50 points with CLB 5 or higher in all four English abilities. NCLC 7 also meets the French-language category minimum. Try the free points calculator and score converter on French4PR, and always re-check canada.ca.
Where do the facts come from?
Each listing cites the provider's own public page and the date it was read. The score converter restates the official IRCC equivalency tables on canada.ca. The official TEF and TCF centre portals are not copied: they are all-rights-reserved search pages.
How do I report a mistake?
Write to hello@french4pr.com with the listing name, the city and what is wrong. An editor checks it against the source and corrects the listing.
Not immigration advice. French4PR is a directory of French test centres, schools and tutors, with free tools that restate public government tables. It is not an immigration consultant, not a law firm and is not affiliated with any government. Nothing on this site is immigration advice, and no listing or tool can promise a score, an invitation to apply or a visa. Rules and draw categories change: always check the official source named on each tool and listing before you act or pay. To report a mistake, write to hello@french4pr.com.
