Frequently asked questions
What is Footalytics?
Footalytics is a chat-based AI assistant for football match predictions. Ask about any upcoming match in English or Chinese and get win/draw/loss probabilities, likely scorelines, team form and public news headlines, with a plain-language explanation.
How are the predictions calculated?
Elo-style strength ratings, recent form and home advantage give each side's expected goals; a Dixon-Coles adjusted Poisson model turns those into scoreline and win/draw/loss probabilities. The language model explains the numbers — it never invents them.
Where does the data come from?
Fixtures, scores, standings and team data come from public data sources; news is limited to public headlines. Everything is real data, never mock data.
Does Footalytics give odds or betting tips?
No. Footalytics shows statistical probabilities and explanations only — no odds and no betting recommendations. A probability is not a certainty.
How accurate is it?
Every prediction is settled against the real final score and published on the public accuracy dashboard with hit rates and Brier scores, including honest small-sample warnings.
Is it free?
You can start for free — every new account gets 3 free predictions after email sign-in. Optionally, you can subscribe monthly (credits are granted every month) or buy one-time credit packs (purchased credits never expire); plans and prices are on the pricing page.
Is there a developer API?
Yes — Footalytics has a football prediction API: win/draw/loss, over/under 2.5 and BTTS probabilities with confidence tiers for the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Champions League. Every account starts with 5 free API calls; JSON responses plus an MCP server for AI assistants. Docs at /api-docs.
Football prediction API for developers
Four JSON endpoints — predictions, fixtures, teams and settled results — with the same graded probabilities. 5 free calls per account, plus an MCP server for AI assistants.
