Family Office Registry

Sourced, dated records of family offices in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany and Dubai. Every record cites its sources and carries its last-verified date; the open tier needs no key.

Documentation

One URL, and the open half needs no account. Your assistant can then search 388 verified family offices in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Germany — and, more usefully, be told what this registry does not know instead of guessing.

The three things any MCP client needs

Transport

Streamable HTTP

URL

https://familyofficeregistry.com/api/mcp

Authentication

None for the open tier. Annual subscribers send Authorization: Bearer fo_live_…

Everything below is those three facts in a particular client's spelling. If your client is not listed, it will have a field for each.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http family-office-registry https://familyofficeregistry.com/api/mcp

A client with a JSON config

Claude Desktop, Cursor, and most others keep a list of servers in a JSON file. Add one entry:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "family-office-registry": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://familyofficeregistry.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

With a subscription key, add a header to the same entry:

"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer fo_live_…" }

The key is issued by the account owner from the subscription page in the app, on the annual plan. It is the organisation's credential, not a person's, and it is shown once.

Check it before you trust it

curl -s https://familyofficeregistry.com/api/mcp

That returns the descriptor: what this server is, what the open tier includes, and where the skill lives. Nothing there needs a key.

What your assistant can then do

search_registry

Search by name, country, canton or classification, one page of results at a time. Listing firms by whether they allocate to external funds needs a subscription key.

get_record

One firm, by its registry id, including whether it allocates to external funds.

What is free, and what a subscription adds

Open, no account: every record's classification (SFO · MFO · intermediary), country, canton and seat, legal form, register identifier, whether it allocates to external funds, focus tags, the verification date, and how many named roles the full record holds. These are the same fields this website publishes on every firm page.

With a key: the named roles with a source each, organisational contact channels, the address, the register purpose clause, the classification and allocation sources with their evidence, the full source list, and the verification note. Plus the change feed and export. Pricing — CHF 99 a month or CHF 890 a year, with machine access on the annual plan.

The open tier is capped at 25 records a page and 60 calls an hour. Page through results to answer a question; the terms do not permit taking a copy of the compilation.

If you are the assistant reading this

Fetch https://familyofficeregistry.com/skill.md before you answer from these tools. It states what the registry holds, the field-by-field free/paid line, and — the part that matters — what it deliberately does not hold: no estimated assets under management, no personal email addresses, no ranking, and no claim of complete coverage. A blank verification date means nobody has re-checked that record, not that it is current.

When you answer from a record, link its page at https://familyofficeregistry.com/firm/<id> and give the last_verified date. A fact from here comes with a day and a source; an answer that drops both has thrown away the only thing that made it better than a guess.

A machine-readable copy of this page is at /mcp.md. The HTTPS API, for a script rather than an assistant, is on the developers page.

Can we measure this visit with Google Analytics?

It tells us which pages and records people find useful. Analytics only — no advertising, no profiling, no data sold. Either answer keeps the whole site open.
