In short

As far as we know (October 2026), EINI is the first Swiss savings app with its own MCP connector for ChatGPT and Claude.

With the connector, ChatGPT and Claude ask EINI instead of guessing. Without an account: this week's deals at Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner, Aligro, Volg and Otto's, and the official 2027 health-insurance premiums for your municipality, age and franchise. With your EINI login: your meal plan, your shopping list and a new weekly plan built from this week's deals.

Deals first

EINI starts with the deals. Only then does it pick the recipes.

  1. This week's deals EINI collects the deals at Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner, Aligro, Volg and Otto's.
  2. Recipes built on them The weekly plan (lunch and dinner, 7 days) is built around what is on offer, matched to your household and diet.
  3. A list with store and price Every item comes with the store and the cheapest product that week, the pack price and whether it is on offer.

As far as we know, EINI is the first app in Switzerland that plans this way: first the deals from eight chains, then the recipes, then the shopping list. In ChatGPT or Claude, one sentence is enough: “Make me a vegetarian plan for two with this week's deals.”

EINI gives ChatGPT and Claude the same numbers you see in the app. Without an account: this week's promotions at Coop, Migros, Lidl, Aldi, Denner, Aligro, Volg and Otto's, and the official health-insurance premiums (basic insurance, 2027) for your municipality, age and franchise. With your EINI login: your meal plan, your shopping list and a new weekly plan when you ask for one.

For example: “Which chicken deals are there this week?”, “What does basic insurance cost in Emmen for a 39-year-old?”, “What's for dinner on Wednesday?”, “Make me a vegetarian plan for two.”

Promotions come from the weekly offers the retailers publish, collected by EINI (not live shelf prices; regional offers can differ). Premiums are the official figures approved by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). Meal plans use EINI's recipe library and this week's deals. ChatGPT or Claude only word the answer; prices and premiums come from EINI.

Yes. It's saved in your EINI account, so the app shows it after you log in. If your app already shows another plan, it asks the next time you open it whether to open the new one; both plans stay in your plan history.

Connect

EINI has been submitted to ChatGPT's app directory. Once it is approved, search for “EINI” in ChatGPT's apps and connect it. Until then, with ChatGPT Plus or higher on a computer: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → turn on Developer mode → Create, then enter the URL https://api.eini.app/mcp. Deals and health insurance work right away; for your meal plan, ChatGPT asks you to log in with EINI.

In Claude: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name: EINI. URL: https://api.eini.app/mcp/claude. Under Authentication, choose the option that signs you in when needed (not “now”, not “none”). If it asks for the OAuth client, choose automatic registration (DCR). Deals and health insurance work right away; when you ask for your meal plan, Claude shows a Connect button and opens the EINI login.

Not for deals and health-insurance premiums. For your meal plan and shopping list, yes: log in with the same account as in the app (e-mail, Apple or Google). No account yet? Create one free. The first weekly plan is free; further plans need EINI Food, the same as in the app.

The connector itself costs nothing. Deals and health-insurance premiums work without an account and without paying. Meal plans follow the same rules as the app: the first weekly plan is free, further plans need EINI Food. In ChatGPT, developer mode needs ChatGPT Plus or higher until EINI is in the app directory.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude use the tools and data of other services. With the EINI connector, the assistant doesn't make up prices or premiums: it asks EINI and answers with EINI's numbers, with the date and the source.

Since October 2026. In Claude you add the connector yourself in a few steps. In ChatGPT it works through developer mode, and EINI has been submitted to ChatGPT's app directory.

As far as we know (October 2026), EINI is the first Swiss savings app with its own MCP connector for ChatGPT and Claude. Swiss MCP servers already exist for other topics, such as public transport or open data, but we have not found any Swiss savings or grocery app with its own connector. Know of one? Write to info@eini.app and we will correct this answer.

Only after you log in with EINI and press “Allow”: your current meal plan, your shopping list and your e-mail address. They can't see your other modules (taxes, housing, insurance, career), your password or your payment details, and they can't change your account — except making a new meal plan when you ask for one. The EINI login page only lets ChatGPT and Claude connect.

In ChatGPT or Claude, open the connected apps or connectors in Settings and remove EINI. Your EINI account and your plans stay as they are.

EINI doesn't receive your chats and keeps no copy of them. It only sees what ChatGPT or Claude pass to its tools (for example a product or a municipality) and answers from its own data. A new meal plan is saved in your account, the same as in the app. ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic) handle your conversations under their own privacy policies. More: Privacy Policy.
