How it works
Here is how easy it actually is.
You are about to place the next supplier order, but you are not sure which products are really moving. The weekly report is due, and you do not want to lose an afternoon building it. Today that means opening tab after tab. It does not have to.
- 01 Open the AI you already use. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Slack, whichever you already use. Microsoft Teams coming soon.
- 02 Ask in plain English. “Which product sold best this week?” “Which ad actually made money?” “Do I have enough stock for the next supplier order?”
- 03 Get the answer in seconds. Pulled live from your tools, with every source linked, so you can trust it and move.
Connect your tools once, about 5 minutes, read-only. After that, you just ask.
Ask it anything
- Which product made me the most money this month?
- How did the store do last week?
- Revenue is up, but is cash?
- Which customers are about to churn?
- Where is the signed contract from that client?
- Draft this month's board update.
One connector surface links 40+ business tools to the assistant you already use.

The lens
Your AI can't see your data. CorpusIQ is the lens that lets it.
Your data lives in Shopify, Meta, Google, Klaviyo, QuickBooks, and Gmail. Your AI can't see any of it, so today it guesses, or you paste in screenshots. That is why most AI answers about your business come back incomplete. CorpusIQ is the lens your AI looks through to read all of it, live. Direct MCP does not retain raw customer files or full connector response payloads; scoped operational logs may persist for up to 30 days. A question becomes a real answer.
- One connector for 40+ business tools, not dozens of integrations to babysit.
- Answers come with their sources, so you can check every number.
- Works inside the AI you already use. Nothing new to learn.
- Nothing to build. No dashboards, no spreadsheets, no exports.
- Read-only and safe. CorpusIQ can look, never touch.
- Uses up to 65% fewer tokens per chat, so chats run longer at lower cost.

The difference
Why not just use ChatGPT?
You still ask in ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity. CorpusIQ is what they read your business through.
AI assistant alone
With CorpusIQ
You paste in data by hand
Reads your live tools directly
Answers depend on what you remembered to paste
Answers from every connected system at once
Each KPI gets defined on the fly
Metrics validated against your defined business rules
One-off conversations
Repeatable reports you can ask for again
No way to check the number
Every answer cites its source
Reports
Ask for the report. Skip the spreadsheet.
These are the reports you used to spend an afternoon assembling. Now you just ask. Every number is validated against your source of truth before the AI sees it, so the report holds up when someone asks where it came from.
Behind every answer, CorpusIQ checks the figure against your defined metrics, the Metrics Specification Registry that holds your source of truth. Numbers are validated against your business rules before the answer is generated, so a KPI means the same thing every time. The AI is handed the validated number, not left to guess.

Why we built this
We built the analyst you never got to hire.
Fortune 500 companies have data teams, BI platforms, and big budgets. Most online brands have spreadsheets, gut instinct, and a Shopify check at 11pm.
AI was supposed to fix that. But every AI tool assumes your data already lives in one place. It doesn't. It lives across a dozen tools, and pulling it together still falls on you.
So we flipped the model. Instead of moving your data into an expensive warehouse, CorpusIQ reads your tools directly, live. Direct MCP does not retain raw customer files or full connector response payloads; scoped operational logs may persist for up to 30 days. The AI you already use becomes the analyst you never got to hire.
“Give every operator the power to ask one question and get a real answer, from their own data, in seconds, with no technical setup.”
Under the hood
If you like to know how it works.
The engine room. MCP, the Intelligence Layer, the skills, the token math, and the security model. Read it if you want the detail. Skip it and just ask.
Where CorpusIQ sits
More than an MCP gateway.
MCP makes business systems accessible to AI. It does not automatically make the resulting answer correct, consistent, or governed. CorpusIQ operates at the business context layer.
CorpusIQ uses the Model Context Protocol, the open standard for AI to business system communication, to reach the tools you already run on. Learn how MCP works.
Infrastructure layer
MCP gateways and infrastructure controls
- Manage MCP connections
- Control tool access
- Apply authentication and permissions
- Route requests
- Enforce infrastructure policies
- Manage endpoints
- Potentially manage model or token usage
Business context layer
CorpusIQ
- Defines governed business metrics
- Determines which business sources are authoritative
- Retrieves the relevant live records
- Reconciles context across multiple systems
- Validates data before the AI sees it
- Preserves source provenance
- Returns record level citations
- Provides the same governed business context to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and AI agents
A master MCP can give an AI access to every tool in the company.
It does not tell the AI what gross revenue means for that company, which system owns the authoritative number, how conflicting records should be resolved, or whether enough evidence exists to support the answer.
CorpusIQ does.
Works with your existing AI infrastructure.
CorpusIQ does not require companies to replace their MDM, MCP gateway, identity provider, endpoint controls, LLM firewall, or prompt router. Those systems control infrastructure and access. CorpusIQ controls the business context delivered through that infrastructure.
Why direct MCP access is not enough.
Access is not authority.
The model may have access to several systems without knowing which one owns the correct record.
Data is not definition.
The model may retrieve revenue without knowing how the company defines recognized revenue, gross revenue, net revenue, or booked revenue.
Retrieval is not reconciliation.
Two systems may contain different values for the same customer, invoice, order, or metric.
Citations are not validation.
A response can cite a record and still use the wrong record or the wrong business definition.
Consistency is not automatic.
Different models can make different tool choices, assumptions, and calculations from the same available systems.
What runs between the question and the answer
- Question
- CorpusIQ, before the AI response is generated
- Governed business definition
- Authorized live sources
- Retrieval
- Reconciliation
- Validation
- Cited business context
- ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or AI agent
The AI receives context that has already been defined, sourced, reconciled, validated, and cited. Model behavior still varies. The business context it answers from does not.
What actually separates CorpusIQ
Connectors are table stakes. Governed answers are the moat.
Anyone can plug an assistant into an API. That part is solved, and it is not what makes an answer worth acting on. The hard part is everything that happens between the question and the number: deciding which system is authoritative for a metric, applying the same definition of revenue every time, checking the figure before the assistant repeats it, and keeping the path back to the source record.
Skip that layer and you get a fluent answer with no way to tell whether it is right. Run it and the same question returns the same answer tomorrow, and you can check where every figure came from.
One correct answer
Your question is resolved into a fixed specification before any data is read: which metric, which systems, which date range, which definition. Ask the same question next week and you get the same answer, because the definition did not move.
Verified, not generated
Every figure comes from a live record and is checked before the assistant sees it. The assistant writes up numbers it was handed rather than producing its own. When a figure cannot be verified, the answer says so instead of filling the gap.
Rendered where you already work
Answers arrive in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Slack, as text you can read or a chart you can act on. There is no dashboard to build, no report to schedule, and no new tool for your team to adopt.
How does a plain question become an answer you can trust?
A question like “how did we do last month” carries no metric, no date range, and no source. CorpusIQ turns it into structure before anything is read.
- Step 1
The intent engine reads what you meant
It works out the real question behind the wording, including the metric you are asking for and the period you mean. - Step 2
An AnswerSpec pins the question down
The question becomes a written specification: the metric, its definition, the authoritative system for it, the date range, and the filters. This is what makes the answer repeatable. - Step 3
Routers fetch from the right systems
Each part of the spec is sent to the system that owns it, several at once where the question spans more than one, and the values are validated as they come back. - Step 4
The Skills library applies the method
Recurring work runs as a versioned skill rather than being improvised: a cash recovery pass, an executive snapshot, an SEO audit. The same method, every run. - Step 5
The result is rendered, not just written
Where a chart reads better than a paragraph, you get the chart, inside the assistant you asked in. - Step 6
You get the answer and its source data
Every figure cites the record it came from, so you can check any number without leaving the answer.

What sets CorpusIQ apart
More than a connection to your tools
The layer between your business data and ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity that makes the answers trustworthy.
Validation engine
Verifies every number before the AI sees it, so answers don't drift into made-up figures.
Entity resolution
Matches the same customer across Shopify, HubSpot, and Stripe, even when the records don't agree.
Anti-drift
Stops the AI from quietly redefining your metrics mid-conversation. A revenue number means the same thing every time.
150+ pre-built skills
Ready-made workflows like Ad Spend Truth Report, Cash Recovery, and Churn Prevention.
Source citations
Every answer shows exactly where it came from, down to the record. Verify instead of trusting blind.
OCR intelligence
Reads PDFs, invoices, and contracts, so the answer pulls from documents, not just structured data.
Proactive recommendations
Not just data. "Move $6.1K to Google Ads," not "here's your spend."
Security and control
You stay in control of every connection
Source-specific authorization, operation-level safety annotations, and documented disconnect behavior. Authorized results pass through CorpusIQ to the AI client you selected.
OAuth, not passwords.
CorpusIQ authenticates through official OAuth flows. We never see or store your passwords. Disconnecting removes CorpusIQ's stored connection state and requires reauthorization before reuse.
SOC 2 aligned.
CorpusIQ does not train models on customer data. The selected AI client's plan policy applies to its conversation. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. CASA Tier 2 certified by DEKRA.
Per-tool permissions.
Connect only what you need. Each integration has granular scopes. CorpusIQ only accesses what you authorize.

Key terms
The core ideas behind CorpusIQ, defined plainly so you and the AI assistants you use can quote them directly.
AI intelligence layer
An AI intelligence layer sits between your business data and the AI assistant you use. It handles query understanding, routes the question to the right data sources, validates every number against consistent KPI definitions, reasons across multiple systems simultaneously, and returns a source-cited answer. CorpusIQ is an AI intelligence layer for business data.
Cross-source reasoning
Cross-source reasoning means a single question can read from several connected systems at once and reason across all of them. Ask how a campaign affected revenue and CorpusIQ reads Klaviyo and Shopify together. Ask about an overdue invoice and it reads QuickBooks, Gmail, and HubSpot together. One question. Every connected system. One source-cited answer.
Source-backed answer
A source-backed answer cites the exact records it came from. Every CorpusIQ response links back to the Gmail message, Drive file, QuickBooks entry, or Shopify order behind it, so you can verify the answer instead of trusting it blind.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate connector for Google Ads?
No. Google Ads is part of the Google connection. One Google sign-in covers Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and Search Console. You connect once and every one of those is available to your assistant. Meta works the same way: one connection covers Facebook Ads, Facebook Page posts, and Instagram. One connection per ecosystem, not one per product.
Is Google Ads access read-only, and which Google permission does CorpusIQ request?
The Google Ads tools are external-source retrieval tools. They report on campaigns, keywords, search terms, and spend, and they do not write back to your Google Ads account. The permission requested is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords. That is the only Google Ads scope Google publishes and it has no read-only variant, so on the consent screen it reads as broader than what the tools do with it. Every other Google permission CorpusIQ requests is one of Google's explicit read-only scopes, covering Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Analytics 4, Search Console, and YouTube. Connector tools that reach your business systems are annotated as read-only retrieval. The tools that do write are CorpusIQ control-plane tools, separately named and annotated, and they act on your own CorpusIQ settings such as saved metric definitions and declared facts, not on your vendor systems.
Why does an AI give me a different answer every time I ask about my business?
Because a raw assistant reads whatever it is handed and works out the definition of a metric on the spot. Ask for revenue twice and you can get two numbers, because nothing pinned down which system is authoritative, which date range applied, or whether refunds were included. CorpusIQ resolves the question into a fixed specification before any data is read, so the same question returns the same answer.
What is a governed intelligence layer?
It is the layer between your business systems and the AI that decides how a question gets answered. It holds the KPI definitions, the rule for which system is authoritative for each metric, the validation step every number passes before the AI sees it, and the citation trail back to the source record. Without that layer, the assistant is guessing at definitions. With it, the answer is reproducible and you can check where it came from.
Does CorpusIQ generate the numbers or read them?
It reads them. Every figure in an answer comes from a live record in a connected system, and the answer cites the record it came from. CorpusIQ validates the numbers before the assistant sees them, so the assistant is writing up verified figures rather than producing its own. If a number cannot be verified, the answer says so instead of filling the gap.
What is CorpusIQ?
CorpusIQ is an AI intelligence layer that gives AI assistants and AI agents governed access to live business data through a single connection. Retrieval-only connector tools that do not write back to connected systems; CorpusIQ control-plane tools, the only tools that accept writes, are separately named and act on your CorpusIQ configuration. You ask a question in plain English inside ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity. CorpusIQ reads multiple connected business systems at once, validates the numbers against consistent KPI definitions, and returns a source-cited answer. No dashboards, no reports to hunt through, no CSV exports.
How does CorpusIQ work?
Your question runs through the CorpusIQ Intelligence Layer: query understanding identifies what you are really asking, a metrics registry keeps KPI definitions consistent, a source-of-truth engine reads the right system for every metric, a validation step verifies every number before the AI sees it, and audit citations show exactly where each answer came from. The AI only sees verified, cross-system context, not raw data.
Can CorpusIQ answer questions that span multiple business systems?
Yes. Cross-source reasoning is the core capability. Ask how an email campaign affected Shopify revenue and CorpusIQ reads Klaviyo and Shopify simultaneously, correlates the data, and returns one cited answer. Ask about overdue invoices and CorpusIQ reads the QuickBooks record, the Gmail thread, and the HubSpot deal together. One question. Every connected system. One source-cited answer.
How is CorpusIQ different from a connector platform or ETL tool?
A connector platform or ETL tool moves data between systems. CorpusIQ is an intelligence layer that reads live data from multiple systems at once, validates it, and reasons across all of it to answer a single plain-English question. The difference is the layer between the data and the AI: query understanding, a metrics registry, a source-of-truth engine, validation, and audit citations. CorpusIQ does not build pipelines. It answers questions.
How is CorpusIQ different from a BI platform or dashboard?
A BI platform requires someone to build and maintain dashboards. CorpusIQ requires no dashboard setup. You ask a question in the AI you already use and get an answer from your live data, with the source record cited. The intelligence layer routes the question to the right systems, validates the numbers, and returns the result directly in the AI chat. No dashboard to build, no report to wait for.
Which AI assistants and platforms does CorpusIQ work with?
ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity through the assistants you already use. You can also connect any API-based or self-hosted model through the CorpusIQ MCP server directly. And you can ask right inside Slack, with Microsoft Teams coming soon. One CorpusIQ account gives you all three access points.
What business tools can CorpusIQ connect to?
CorpusIQ connects 40+ business tools through a single governed MCP connection, including QuickBooks, Shopify, Gmail, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Slack, Google Drive, Stripe, and more.
Is my business data safe with CorpusIQ?
Retrieval-only connector tools that do not write back to connected systems; CorpusIQ control-plane tools, the only tools that accept writes, are separately named and act on your CorpusIQ configuration. Your AI provider's plan policy governs its conversation handling. Direct MCP does not retain raw customer files or full connector response payloads; scoped operational logs may persist for up to 30 days. CorpusIQ is CASA Tier 2 certified by DEKRA and maintains a SOC 2 aligned posture.
What is the CorpusIQ Intelligence Layer?
The Intelligence Layer is the set of systems that sit between your business data and the AI. It includes: a natural language engine that translates your question into a structured workflow, a query understanding engine that works out what you are really asking even when the question is vague, a business context engine that understands how customers, products, campaigns, and orders relate, a metrics registry that keeps KPI definitions consistent, a source-of-truth engine that reads the correct system for every metric, a validation engine that verifies every number, and an audit and citations engine that shows exactly where every answer came from.
Isn't Shopify Sidekick already free?
