Where should I start with Clipy documentation?

Install the Clipy skill if you want an agent to understand public Clipy links. Use the CLI or MCP reference when the agent needs authenticated access to your private library or needs to record on its own.

What is the difference between the Clipy skill, CLI, and MCP server?

The skill is the default, no-key path for public pasted links. The CLI is for terminals, scripts, and CI. MCP is for authenticated tool calls, private-library search, and agent-side recording from MCP clients.

What is an AREC document?

AREC is the canonical agent-readable Markdown document for a Clipy recording. It contains intent, requests, a draft plan, key moments, diagnostics when captured, capture gaps, and transcript.

Are Docs, Learn, and Glossary the same thing?

No. Docs is the product and technical reference. Learn contains explanatory guides and tutorials. The Glossary provides one durable definition per agent-readable-recording term. Tools remain separate because they are interactive utilities.
