Calaf
Connect your AI assistant to your Calaf MBA recruiting book: validate and import research seeds; people arrive staged for your review.

Connect your AI assistant to Calaf
Calaf is an MBA recruiting manager: firms, contacts, applications, interview prep, and AI coaching in one recruiting book. Calaf speaks MCP, so the assistant you already pay for — Claude, ChatGPT, an IDE agent — can research at whatever depth you want and stock your book with the results.
Two servers
| Server | URL | Auth | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calaf | https://calaf.ai/api/mcp-account | OAuth (your Calaf account) | Everything below, plus workspace, seed, firm-research, network, and pipeline tools — import/export seeds, research firms to house depth (submit_firm_profile), log touchpoints and deals on the work log, complete contacts, schedule interviews, and add tasks to the user's calendar — your assistant lands validated content in your book, and can read a workspace back out to improve and re-import it. |
| Calaf Seed Tools | https://calaf.ai/api/mcp | None | get_seed_format and validate_seed only — author and check seed files without a Calaf account. |
Both are listed in the official MCP Registry
as ai.calaf/calaf and ai.calaf/seeds. If you connect the account server,
you never need the other one.
Connect from claude.ai
- Go to Settings → Connectors (claude.ai/settings/connectors).
- Click Add custom connector. Name it
Calaf, pastehttps://calaf.ai/api/mcp-account, leave Client ID and Secret empty, and add it. - Click Connect. You'll land on Calaf's consent screen — sign in if you aren't already, review what the connection can do, and approve.
Connect from Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http calaf https://calaf.ai/api/mcp-account
Other MCP clients: add a remote (Streamable HTTP) server with the same URL; the OAuth flow is standard (dynamic client registration + PKCE).
Things to try
- "Write me a seed of 30 lower-middle-market PE funds that hire MBA associates, validate it, and import it into my book."
- "Read Calaf's seed format, then turn my target list from this conversation into a seed and validate it until it's clean."
- "List my Calaf workspaces and import these interview prep questions into the consulting one."
- "Validate this seed file and explain every issue before I import it."
What a connection can and cannot do
- Every read and write runs as you, under your account's own permissions — a connected assistant can only ever touch your book, never anyone else's.
- Imports are additive and deduplicated: re-importing a file lands nothing new, and nothing is deleted or overwritten.
- People are staged, never written directly. Contacts in a seed file arrive as a reviewable batch in Calaf (under Network): accept everyone in one tap, deselect any, discard the batch — or undo it after accepting. Nothing reaches your contacts until you decide. A wrong firm wastes an afternoon; a wrong person is an email to someone who doesn't exist — so that one glance stays yours.
- Your assistant never sees your Calaf password — the connection uses OAuth, and you can disconnect at any time from your assistant's settings.
For integrations without MCP
POST a draft seed document to https://calaf.ai/api/seed-validate (no auth,
CORS-open) for the same parser verdict the app's importer uses — see the
seed file format.
