Questions before you connect
Clear limits and workflows for browser-native remote access. This browser has 0 guest minutes remaining; plan allowances are shown below.
Do I need an SSH client?
No. Bastr.io can open an SSH session in a modern browser. Native clients remain useful for local automation and offline work.
Can I use an SSH key?
Yes. Use your normal SSH key workflow and keep private keys under your control.
What is the difference between SFTP and SSH?
SSH provides an interactive shell and secure transport. SFTP uses the same family of secure transport for browsing and transferring files.
Does Bastr.io support Web RDP and VNC?
Supported accounts can use browser-based RDP and VNC. Availability depends on service configuration and account access.
Can I deploy WebSSH with Docker?
Yes. A deployment still needs a correctly secured host, credentials and network policy.
How does MCP stay safe?
MCP actions remain observable and bounded with explicit browser confirmation and audit history. Review sensitive operations before they run.
