Tools

  • calculate_car_tax Annual UK vehicle tax (VED) for any car — all three systems (pre-2001 engine size, 2001–2017 CO2 bands, post-2017 flat rate) plus the Expensive Car Supplement.
  • check_clean_air_zone ULEZ and Clean Air Zone compliance from registration year and fuel, with the daily charge per zone and the estimated annual cost.
  • check_mot_due_date When a car’s MOT falls due, and the earliest it can be tested without losing the renewal date.
  • mot_outlook Odds a used car passes its next MOT first time for its age and mileage, and how a band more or less mileage moves them — plus, for covered models, that model compared fairly with cars of the same ages. From DVSA MOT test records, Great Britain.
  • get_model_reliability Common faults, best and worst years, and real DVSA first-time MOT pass rates age-matched against the national average.
  • search_used_cars Live dealer stock — cars by default, or vans, motorcycles and other types — filterable by make, model, year, price, fuel, body type and location. Prices GBP, mileage in miles.
  • estimate_running_costs Annual running cost for a listed car in GBP — fuel, road tax, servicing, the MOT test fee and insurance, with ranges wherever a figure is modelled. Full estimate for cars; motorcycles and vans in Great Britain get road tax and the MOT only. There is no tyres component.
  • get_uk_price_guide Typical (median), lowest and highest current asking prices from live listings, optionally narrowed to a make or model.
  • ask_about_car Answers a buyer’s questions about one listed car — owners, service history, warranty, keys, previous use and core spec — from the dealer’s own listing, saying plainly what is not stated. A sold or withdrawn car is reported as no longer for sale.

Install

The server is remote and stateless, with no authentication. It reads public data on autoza.co.uk. You need no key and no account.

Why this exists

Autoza is built on the long-term thesis that vehicle commerce becomes agent-to-agent: a buyer's AI queries marketplaces, contacts seller agents, and negotiates and closes deals autonomously. This MCP server is the public, agent-callable face of that thesis.

Aggregate asking prices from the same live stock are also published as a JSON API at /api/public/market-stats.
