Connect your app

Claude (claude.ai, desktop and mobile)

Custom connectors are in beta; on the Free plan Claude allows one.

1. 1Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
2. 2Name it Arcdeck and paste the server URL above. Leave the advanced OAuth settings empty.
3. 3Choose Connect, sign in to Arcdeck and allow access.
4. 4In a chat, turn Arcdeck on from the tools menu and ask for a deck.

ChatGPT

Until Arcdeck is listed in ChatGPT's app directory, connecting needs developer mode, where your ChatGPT plan offers it.

1. 1Open Settings → Apps, then Advanced settings, and turn on developer mode.
2. 2Create an app with the server URL above and OAuth as the authentication.
3. 3Sign in to Arcdeck when ChatGPT asks, allow access, and add Arcdeck to your chat.

Claude Code

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and choose Arcdeck to sign in.

Cursor

Add Arcdeck to ~/.cursor/mcp.json; Cursor asks you to sign in the first time it's used.

For MCP apps that can't sign in, use a personal API key instead.

1. 1Create a key in Account → Connected apps. It's shown once.
2. 2Send it with every request to the server URL:

Troubleshooting

Claude says it couldn't connect, or sign-in loops

Remove the Arcdeck connector, add it again with the server URL above and leave the advanced OAuth settings empty. Make sure you finish signing in to Arcdeck in the window that opens and choose Allow.

The app says Arcdeck wasn't given a permission

Disconnect the app in Account → Connected apps, connect it again and allow both permissions (create and read presentations).

A deck says it's still being written

Decks take one to three minutes. Ask the app to check the deck again, or open the editor link; the slides appear as they're written.

A plan or limit message comes back

Decks made from an app use your plan like decks made on arcdeck.ai. A Free account includes 2 trial decks, each with its first 3 slides written; Premium has no deck limit. The message says what's left.
