Anywayr MCP server

Anywayr runs a remote Model Context Protocol server so AI apps and agents can plan trips, search hotels and flights, get exact quotes and hand a traveller Anywayr's own checkout page, using the traveller's Anywayr account. This page is the reference. For setup steps in a specific app, start with the connector guides.
Endpoint and transport

The transport is Streamable HTTP. Every tool call except anywayr_capabilities needs a signed-in Anywayr account. Prices are in US dollars.

Authentication
- OAuth 2.1 authorization code flow with PKCE. Only the
S256challenge method is accepted. - Clients identify themselves with Client ID Metadata Documents (CIMD): the client ID is an HTTPS URL that serves the client's metadata. Dynamic client registration is not offered.
- Authorization responses carry an
issparameter. Clients should check it matches the authorization server above before exchanging the code. - Access tokens last 10 minutes. Requesting
offline_accesskeeps the connection renewing until the person disconnects it. - Before anything is shared, the person sees an Anywayr connect screen and approves exactly which permissions the app gets. They can approve fewer than the app asked for.
Permissions are requested as scopes, using the names below, plus offline_access.

Saving a planned trip
Confirm a destination, local stay dates and the people travelling. A budget is optional. Plan one city, or up to 5 confirmed cities in travel order with contiguous stay dates. Keep unchosen stops in the wider journey brief and label a saved leg as one part of that journey.
The result gives the saved trip's trip_url. Share that exact link immediately. A completed save means the trip exists; its itinerary can still be building. Read planning_progress for its current phase, stop polling when it is ready, failed or unknown, and use the saved link to continue on Anywayr. Never promise a completion time.
Keep an overall ceiling, target spend and lodging allowance separate in planning_budget, with their currency, party basis and journey scope. A ceiling does not set a hotel rate. Only an explicit USD allowance for the saved trip sets accommodation search limits. Wider planning context is available to its owner through the connected app.
Limits
- 1 hotel room per booking.
- Up to 8 adults per room.
- Up to 9 flight passengers.
- Children need their real ages.
- Cabins: economy, premium economy, business, first.
- Search results come back up to 10 at a time.
- All prices are in US dollars.
Booking and safety model
- Planning and searching are free. The person pays when they book.
- An app asks for an exact quote first. The quote expires, and the person sees the total before agreeing to anything.
- By default a booking finishes on Anywayr's own checkout page, which the app hands to the person as a link. That is the only route for ChatGPT, Meta Muse and any app that registered itself.
- Verified apps (Claude, VS Code, Codex) can additionally be allowed to book with the person's saved card in the conversation. It is unticked by default, applies only to fully refundable bookings, and only within a booking limit the person sets on their Anywayr profile. Anything else comes back to them on Anywayr.
- Full-refund cancellations can be confirmed in the conversation. Anything with a fee is finished on Anywayr.
- Permissions do not replace object checks. An app can only reach the trips and bookings that belong to the signed-in person.

Disconnecting
A person can disconnect any app in their Anywayr profile under Connected apps. Access stops there, and the app can be removed from its own connector settings as well.
