FAQ
What is Jotter?
Jotter saves context from one AI assistant so you can load it in another. You jot a note or hand off a conversation in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, then pick it up in any other assistant or a new chat, with no copy-paste and no re-explaining.
How do I continue a ChatGPT conversation in a new chat?
Connect Jotter, then say "jot this" at the end of the conversation you want to keep. Jotter saves a handoff of what matters: your decisions, progress, and next steps. Open a new chat, say "continue my last handoff", and the assistant picks up from there without the length and clutter of the old thread.
Can I move a conversation from ChatGPT to Claude?
Yes. Say "jot this" in ChatGPT, then say "load my latest jot" in Claude. Connect Jotter to both once and it works in either direction, and with Codex, Cursor, and other assistants that support connectors.
How is it different from ChatGPT or Claude memory?
Built-in AI memory stays locked inside one vendor and captures automatically. Jotter is the opposite: you choose what to save, and it moves across ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. It is portable, user-controlled context, not background memory.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
Any assistant that supports connectors (MCP): ChatGPT on web, desktop, and mobile, Claude on web, desktop, mobile, and Code, and Gemini via CLI or Enterprise. In ChatGPT you install Jotter from the plugin directory. You connect Jotter once per assistant.
How do I add Jotter to ChatGPT?
Jotter is listed in ChatGPT's plugin directory, so there is nothing to paste. Open the Plugins tab in ChatGPT, search for Jotter, install it, and sign in when prompted. Then say "jot this" in any chat, or type @Jotter to call it by name.
Does Jotter work in Codex?
Yes. ChatGPT and Codex share one plugin directory, so installing Jotter once makes it available in both. In Codex you call a plugin with $ instead of @.
Is my data private? Do you train on it?
Your jots are private to you and stored only at your direction. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell your data.
How much does it cost?
Free for 10 jots, kept forever, no card needed. Pro is $19 a year (under $2 a month) for 5,000 jots. Nothing ever auto-deletes.
What happens when I reach 10 jots?
On the free plan, saving pauses at 10 jots. Your existing jots stay readable and nothing is deleted. Delete one you no longer need to make room, or upgrade to Pro for 5,000.
