What you get

Search places

Any village, tehsil, district or state by name (spelling-tolerant), or every village in a pincode.

Village records

LGD and Census codes, tehsil, block, gram panchayat, pincode, area, centre point, neighbours and the boundary as GeoJSON.

The hierarchy

States to districts to tehsils to villages, with codes and counts, for dropdowns, address checks and joins.

Land-record sources

For each state: what its records are called, how its places are organised, its glossary, and every portal with access details.

Plots and holders

Plot identifiers, area, land class and the holders a state record names, as each state is loaded.

More layers

Registrations, charges, court cases, RERA projects, circle rates and notices are being added.

Only successful calls are charged. Errors, refused calls and the account endpoints are free. Each key has a daily safety cap of 100,000 calls.

Questions

What does the API cover today?

Every state, district, tehsil and village of India with LGD codes, Census codes, pincodes and boundaries (GeoJSON), and the government portals that hold each state's land records, maps, registrations, encumbrance certificates, RERA projects, circle rates and property tax. Plot records (holders, area, land class, maps) are added state by state; the coverage page shows what is loaded.

How is it billed?

Prepaid. New accounts get ₹50 of credit. Each successful call (HTTP 200) costs ₹0.16; errors and account calls are free. Top up with ₹500, ₹5,000 or ₹50,000 of credit, plus 18% GST (you pay ₹590, ₹5,900 or ₹59,000). GST invoices are issued by Billion Insights Ventures Pvt. Can an AI assistant use it?

Yes. Add the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client; clients that support sign-in connect with your account, others take an API key. Agents can also sign a person up themselves (auth.md).

Is the data proof of ownership?

No. Revenue records are not proof of title and nothing returned is a certified copy. Show the source and date with any record you display.

Can I get the whole dataset?

There are no bulk downloads. For large volumes or a custom feed, write to support@indiapropertyregister.com.
