Gold answers you can check

FiLot runs a public, read-only MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude. Every answer is signed by FiLot, so anyone can check that a number was not changed or made up, and gold bar records are checked against the public Solana blockchain. Ask for today’s world gold price in your own currency, zakat on your gold, the gold price on a past date, what dealers pay for a bar today, and gold tax facts. No account, no login. Answers in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

Why FiLot is different

Most gold answers from an AI are words on a screen. FiLot’s come with proof: every answer is signed with FiLot’s key, and price answers end with a Check this answer link that shows, in your own browser, the numbers FiLot really gave. A FiLot gold bar record is checked against the public Solana blockchain, where it was sealed. A record check proves the record, never the metal: a buyer should still have the bar tested. Every number is worked out by fixed rules, not by AI.

Add it to Claude

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add, then Add custom connector, name it FiLot and paste the server address above. Then ask about gold, for example “What is the gold price per gram in Singapore dollars today?”. Added FiLot before? Open it under Connectors and choose Refresh tools list to get the newest tools. Any other MCP client works the same way.

World gold price in any currency world_gold_price

Today’s world (spot) gold price for one gram, one troy ounce and one kilogram of fine gold, in the currency you ask for, with the time it was read. Built from the gold price in US dollars (gold-api.com) and that day’s exchange rate (open.er-api.com). A world-market indication, not what any dealer pays or charges.

Inputs: currency (a three-letter code such as USD, EUR, SGD, AUD, GBP, MYR or IDR; default USD), lang (en or id)

Zakat on gold gold_zakat

Works out zakat on your gold: the nisab is 85 grams of pure gold (or the 595 gram silver nisab, if your scholars use it), the rate 2.5 percent, due once the gold has been owned one hijri year. Bars and jewellery of any karat. Worn jewellery is shown both ways unless you say which view you follow (the Hanafi school counts it; the Shafi’i, Maliki and Hanbali schools generally do not). In Indonesia the gold is valued at the latest Antam buyback price, elsewhere at the world gold price in your currency. A calculation, not a fatwa: ask a scholar or your zakat body for your own case. FiLot keeps no copy of a zakat answer.

Gold price on a past date gold_price_on_date

The gold price on a past date, for records such as a tax return, an inheritance or a purchase: the world price of fine gold in any currency from FiLot’s own daily record (kept since 22 Oct 2026), and for Indonesia the dealers’ Antam buyback price that day (stored since 25 Sep 2026). Signed, with a link to check it.

Check a FiLot gold bar record verify_gold_bar_record

Checks a FiLot gold bar record against the public Solana blockchain, from the owner’s share link or a delivery check link. A serial number alone is never checked, so a copied serial cannot “prove” a different bar. It checks the record, never the metal: a buyer must still test the bar itself.

How FiLot fingerprints gold records

Dealer buyback prices for one bar gold_buyback_prices

What dealers pay today to buy back one bar of a given brand and weight: the highest price that fits every such bar, then any higher price that fits only some bars (for example Antam made in 2026), each with its dealer, day and time. A brand no dealer prices gets an estimate from the world gold price, marked as not a dealer offer. Currently covers dealers in Indonesia, in rupiah.

Tax facts for physical gold bars: VAT, income tax when buying, individual buyers, selling back, the Rp 10 million limit, stamp duty and Antam’s own buyback deduction, each with its legal reference. How the answers are made

AI reads, rules calculate, people decide. Every answer is put together by fixed rules, not by AI. The world gold price comes from gold-api.com (US dollars) and open.er-api.com (exchange rates), and FiLot keeps its own record of it every day (the day’s last reading, since 22 October 2026): that record is where the gold price on a past date comes from. For dealer prices, FiLot reads the dealers’ own websites three times a day and keeps them (since 25 September 2026); today these are Galeri 24 (including its Sentra Buyback), Aneka Logam and Sampoerna Gold in Indonesia. Every dealer price names its dealer, day and time, and prices from websites that ask AI assistants to stay out are never passed on.

Zakat follows one published rule: a nisab of 85 grams of pure gold (or 595 grams of silver, if you choose it) and a rate of 2.5 percent once the gold has been owned one hijri year, valued at the Antam buyback price in Indonesia and at the world price elsewhere. It is a calculation, not a fatwa. These are prices and facts, never investment or tax advice; a dealer sets the final price after checking the bar.

Check an answer

Price answers (the world price, dealer prices, tax facts, the price on a date) end with a Check this answer link. It opens FiLot’s check page, which fetches FiLot’s copy of that signed answer and checks the signature in your browser with FiLot’s public key. If anyone, FiLot included, changed the copy, the check fails. Then compare the numbers with what your assistant told you. Zakat answers and bar record checks carry no link, because FiLot keeps no copy of them; you can still paste any answer on the check page.

Technical detail: an Ed25519 JSON Web Signature (compact JWS, EdDSA) whose payload is the answer itself without its signature field.

Limits

Up to 60 calls a minute per caller. Dealer prices are read from prices FiLot has already stored, so a call never reaches a dealer’s website.

Privacy

FiLot receives only what each tool needs (a currency, a brand and weight, grams and karat for zakat, a date, or a share link). So that a Check this answer link works, FiLot keeps a copy of its own signed price answers under a random code; it never keeps a zakat answer or a bar record check, and never anything about you. It counts calls by tool and by the assistant’s app name, never by person, and never sees your conversation with the assistant.
