Kobel is a Windows desktop app that gives AI assistants controlled access to your files.

Kobel sits as a local MCP gateway between your files and AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Gemini CLI. With a five-color permission system, you decide per folder what the AI can do — from full access (green) to completely blocked (red). Everything runs locally on your PC, with no cloud and no upload.
