AgentSearch: web search, URL extract and JS rendering built for agents

AgentSearch gives AI agents live web search, URL-to-markdown extract and headless browser render for $0.005 per call in USDC on Base via x402, with no account or API key, and search is free for up to 25 searches a day per IP, with no key, through the free relay or the MCP server: npx -y @agentsearchhq/agentsearch-mcp.

Three Pocket Network services with one clear job: context agents can actually use. Powered by POKT.

MCP (recommended): npx -y @agentsearchhq/agentsearch-mcp Also works: Pocket's Agentic Portal MCP, npx -y @pocket-network/agentic-portal-mcp

Service IDs: agentsearch-web-search-v1 agentsearch-web-extract-v1 agentsearch-web-render-v1

For AI agents: agents.md llms.txt llms-full.txt Free search: curl -s https://relay.agentsearchhq.com/v1/search -H 'content-type: application/json' -d '{"query":"Pocket Network"}'

Free web search for your agent, no setup

Paste one block into your MCP client and restart it. Free search works with no env, no key and no wallet. Free tier: up to 25 searches/day per IP, no key needed (shared daily capacity; paid calls have no cap). For extract and render, add the optional AGENTSEARCH_WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY: $0.005 per call, paid in USDC on Base via x402.

Optional: enable extract and render ($0.005/call)

Use a new wallet holding a little USDC on Base (no ETH needed). Same env key works in every client (VS Code: inside the server entry under servers).

Three services, one stack

Search the web, extract a URL, or render a JavaScript page. Each one is a Pocket Network service you can call from agents, MCP hosts, and RAG pipelines.

Which service should my agent call?

Start with search, pull pages with extract, and switch to render when content only appears after JavaScript runs.

Search: fresh sources

An AI agent search API for live web results. Ideal for LLM tool-use, autonomous research, and agent runtimes that need fresh sources—not stale training data.

Extract: clean context for RAG

A RAG URL extraction service: give it a URL, get clean text/markdown, title, links, and metadata ready for embeddings, citations, and long-context prompts.

Render: JavaScript-heavy pages

Headless Chromium runs the page's JavaScript, then returns the title, rendered text/markdown, and HTML (plus links and an optional screenshot). Built for dynamic page scraping, SPAs, and pages plain extract cannot see. $0.005 per call on the Agentic Portal; live on Pocket MainNet and Beta TestNet.

Built so agents can find and call us

MCP for Claude, Cursor and agent hosts

Recommended: npx -y @agentsearchhq/agentsearch-mcp (npm). It adds agentsearch_web_search, agentsearch_extract and agentsearch_render. Search works free with no key or wallet (up to 25 searches per day per IP). Set AGENTSEARCH_WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY to a new wallet with a little USDC on Base to unlock extract and render at $0.005 per call. The server never signs more than $0.005 per call or $1.00 per session by default.

Also works: Pocket's Agentic Portal MCP (npx -y @pocket-network/agentic-portal-mcp) with call_service on the three AgentSearch services.

Machine-readable discovery

Crawlers and agents: read /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt, /.well-known/llms.txt, /sitemap.xml, /robots.txt, /ai.txt, /agents.md, and OpenAPI specs for search, extract, and render.

Pocket-native monetization

Stake and settle on Pocket MainNet. Use Agentic Portal for gated relays, or integrate via RelayMiner endpoints on pocket-main.agentsearchhq.com.

What agents use AgentSearch for

Research agents use the web search API to find fresh sources and cite them. RAG pipelines use the URL to markdown API to turn pages into clean, chunkable context. When a site is a single-page app or a dashboard, the headless browser rendering API runs its JavaScript first. Guides and pricing comparisons are on the blog.

FAQ

What is AgentSearch?

AgentSearch gives AI agents live web search, URL-to-markdown extract and headless browser render for $0.005 per call in USDC on Base via x402, with no account or API key. It runs on Pocket Network and works over HTTP, as an MCP server, or through LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Agents SDK and n8n packages.

How much does AgentSearch cost?

Web Search, Web Extract and Web Render each cost $0.005 per call, paid in USDC on Base via x402 (MPP on Tempo is also accepted). Only HTTP 2xx answers are charged. See pricing.

Is there a free tier?

Yes, for Web Search only. Free tier: up to 25 searches/day per IP, no key needed (shared daily capacity; paid calls have no cap). Send a POST request to https://relay.agentsearchhq.com/v1/search or use the MCP server with no wallet key. Extract and Render are always $0.005 per call.

How do I install the MCP server?

Add npx -y @agentsearchhq/agentsearch-mcp to your MCP client config (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf or any stdio host) and restart it. Search works with no env. To enable Extract and Render, set AGENTSEARCH_WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY to a new wallet holding a little USDC on Base. Copy-paste configs are in the quickstart.

Do I need an API key or an account?

No. Free search needs no key at all. Paid calls are paid per request from a wallet over x402, so there is no account, signup or API key to manage.

What are the service IDs?

agentsearch-web-search-v1, agentsearch-web-extract-v1, and agentsearch-web-render-v1 (JavaScript rendering in a headless browser), all on Pocket MainNet. Render is also on Beta TestNet.

When should I use Render instead of Extract?

Use Extract for static pages. Use Render when content only appears after JavaScript runs (SPAs, dashboards, infinite-scroll lists): it returns the title, rendered text, and HTML from a real headless Chromium.

Who powers the relays?

Pocket Network. AgentSearch is powered by POKT.
